If you're talking about things like deleted photos, I don't think so. The only changes I can recall were changing what website the web clip icon led to, and fixing white icon issues.So.. whats the word on the newest jailbreak?
I've got a brand new 64GB black iPhone 4S sitting next to me waiting for a jailbreak. But I heard there were some problems with it?
Any info on that would be cool.
Thanks!
Edit: I see there is a newer version (0.3) of Absinthe, does that get rid of any problem the users experienced?
Restoring with an iTunes backup should work. (You have to restore in order to upgrade from 4.x to 5.x.)I have an iPhone 4 with ios 4.2.1 (8C14) and it's already jailbroken. How do I upgrade to jailbroken ios5 without losing anything like my game saves and calendar content?

If you don't mind not having your SMS history anymore, you could try deleting /var/mobile/Library/SMS.Hey,
thanks guys for all your tips. The jailbreak worked fine. I have huge problem though.
My sms list is empty (was not restored), and if I try to send a sms, the app crashes, and I cant receive any msgs.
I'd appreciate the help!
It seems like a useful tool, but it doesn't completely pertain to jailbreaking. The guide is also pretty cluttered to begin with, so I don't think it'll be added any time soon.Hey Dialexio, here's a suggestion for the guide: http://msftguy.blogs...eation-and.html
This guy made a tool that mounts a ramdisk on your iOS device (A4 and older) and let's you access the filesystem through SSH. Great for recovering pictures, preferences and files if you get stuck in a boot loop.
It wasnt really a discussion about cracked apps. It was more of a technical "is-it-doable" kind of discussion.Enough with the cracked apps discussion in this thread. It's beginning to annoy me now.
