Hacking Changing Settings; CATSFC

I own a DS lite, Supercard DSTWO, and have installed Moonshell 2, NDSGBA 1.3, and CATSFC 1.1.

After launching CATSFC, any changes that I make to the settings from the home screen (enable sound, CPU frequency, fast forward, etc.) don't seem to 'stick.' For instance, when I set Enable Sound to off and launch a game, sound is still enabled. Also, if I change any options, then Exit the program, all of my changes have reverted to default the next time I launch CATSFC.

Am I missing something basic, or is there something wrong with my installation? I have tried deleting the files, re-downloading them, and re-copying them to the micro sd. This has not worked.

I've determined that my touch screen isn't functioning properly, thus I wasn't able to pull up the CATSFC in-game menu. Please disregard this post.
