Hacking a2h's YSMenu generator

a2h to be honest i dont think much people have the original r4 card, There are now like 10x as many clones then the original. So you may want to try find a fix for the "Unsupported DLDI Name Error" bug/
Just a suggestion.

There's actually quite a lot of users of the original R4 who are still quite happy with it.

Take a bit of a stroll around here and you'll eventually notice.

As for the unsupported thing, I'll see if I can look into it, but I'm not making any guarantees.

Alright, so looks like it's an issue with my program.

When I have the time, I'll be looking into the DLDI thing.

I have a small suspicion that it would be R4tf.dldi... could that file be only for original R4s?

Why we can not add a "usrcheat.dat" ourself?
(the download option dont work for me in the 1.5)

I dont understand why your program need "infolib.dat" ???

Because, we need to add it manually in the TTMENU Folder after !?

1.5.2 is meant to overwrite 1.5.1's exe and pdb files.

Why we can not add a "usrcheat.dat" ourself?

Select "No" in the cheats option.

You've come across the bug I've been plastering in red all over my post. Look for the solution, it's in the first post.

@a2h What is the problem again? I don't get it I compiled ysmenu with 1.5.1 fine with the ysmenu file being in my downloads folder and the infolib.dat on my desktop. Same goes for 1.5.2
Yes I read through the topic and it doesn't make sense to me.

Note: If it has to do with actually using the firmware then I can't do that so yeah.

a2h I have some info which you could use to improve your program for people with clones.

YSmenu uses the internal name of the DLDI driver to determine what brand of card it is being used on. It appears to know about the drivers for the TTDS, original R4 and Acekard.

Depending on what the R4i hardware is a clone of, you will need to patch YSMENU.nds with the correct DLDI driver and, possibly, have to further patch it to prevent DLDI autopatching. - jruschme

edit: sorry, didn't realise this was an addition to the R4 software. Works a treat with Mario and Luigi. Thanks so much for making this procedure so easy

I tryed it using the new one and it still doesn't work without infolib file and YSMenu0903270000.zip being in the same folder as r4ysmenu generator.

I'm getting Error -82 when trying to run MLBIS...it's a virgin ROM, running on a DSLite and a M3 Simply...anybody know how to get around this error?

Original R4, working as good as the new kids on the block again. Thanks to everyone who figured this out an got it working again with YSmenu. I was fine without these games but now that I can get them .... woot.

Sorry for lame reaction was angry because of the saves, didn't had time to backup. don't know what happened a sec. i could play a game the next after turning off and having breakfast i boot my ds and then it says SD/TF card error, needed school so left came back home putted the sd in pc and pc says that the card is either broken or needs format. soo i formatted it and that way lost my saves. card is ok now only saves gone not thrown away money

sorry a2h dunno whats wrong with your firm but normal YSMenu works but yours don't
