Hi, i just finished doing the hardmod to my 3ds and when i closed it and re-powered it it just shuts down with a popping sound.
I red online that should be because of the speaker ribbon cable or something like that, so i changed all the upper screen with a replace part i had apart but it still does that popping sound and shuts down.
I checked the fuses of the mobo and are fine.
What else should cause this?

It means it's not detecting the backlight(s), double check the top screen audio+video+light cable* and the bottom screen light cable

* At least on a DSi, what appears to be sufficiently inserted isn't

Which one is the bottom screen light cable?

Hard to say without knowing the exact model, but the bottom screen should have 3 cables - 1 brown large for video, a 4-pin one usually transparent for touch, a 4-pin but 2-wire brown one for the light

It was that one, thank you very much! Just "fixed" it

Sounds like the cables, you need to reseat them over and over, its a pain trust me I've been there, you could try cleaning them too, make sure the connectors are tight
