Is there any way to "Fake" having the Amiibo Reader & Amiibos if you have a o3DS XL? I'm on Luma3DS 8.1

Hi guys, wassup? Well, i have a problem with my o3ds. I recently bought it and it came with RxTools installed. So I tried to update to a9lh and luma3ds, but when I formatted the SD card and replace the new files (3ds folder, etc...), the o3ds flashes the blue light for 1 second but won't turn on. The charger light works fine. So what can I do? I already removed the battery but nothing happened.

The old 3DS is missing the hardware so it can never read Amiibos without the attachment.

I think he/she meant hacking it so that the game thinks you have the amiibo.

QR codes are just a shortcut to a URL.

Go into the theme menu and change it (there's an icon in the top right of the touch screen on the home menu that has themes as an option).

You're not supposed to redownload the game. The whole point of system transferring is to get the hacked save into a stock console. Do this:

1. Restore the NAND backup you made on the source just before the transfer
2. Verify the game has the hacked save installed and if it doesn't put it back in from the guide's steps
3. Go into System Settings -> Data Management -> DSiWare and move the game to the SD card
4. Put the SD card in the target console OR backup/delete the Nintendo 3DS folder from the target's SD card and paste in the one from the source (don't merge)
5. Go to System Settings -> Data Management -> DSiWare and move the game from the SD card to system memory

It should work now.

Oops yes you're right. You might have installed them from freeShop, which installs all of them which results in you having too many and you have to delete them one by one.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Luma provides access to stuff like cheats and input redirection, impersonating the Amiibo reader via software is not far-fetched right? But I can't find anything to that effect.

Why am I getting this error and how do I fix it? Im trying to use NTR on Super mario 3d world. I can open ntr, start the game, press x and y and see the cheats. However as soon as I choose any cheats, this happens. Help

Getting an error on Old 3DS boot9strapper luma and fbi all up to date and all a9lh arm 9 files that can be uninstalled are.

The error is as follows when i start the camera on the O3DS.

When I try to start qr code scanner on pokemon sun the error is different. Took a screen of that error.

I apologize if any information has been given on this error before, but I haven't been able to find any yet.
I've been repairing an old 3DS, and have run into this same error. I replaced the camera (OEM), top screen, and speakers, and they're all properly connected, but applications that use the camera occur this same error. The cameras themselves appear to work just fine when used in the Outer Camera calibration in system settings, and in AR Games app.
I'm on Luma3DS v8.1.1 and Sys 11.5.0-38U (unfortunately).

Excuse me, I am using Luma 3DS Rosalina with STRAPS 9, but after coming from ARM9LH my microSD is a mess right now, si I want to ask which of these folders and files I should keep and which ones I am able to safety delete in order to transfer everything to a new SD:

PD: I only play my bought games from (eShop), others installed via CIA, and as ThirdPartySoftware I have FBI, PKSM, JKSM, NTR, INPUT REDIRECTION (But AFAIK it is now built in Rosalina, didn't try it yet), and only open them when totally offline without connection to keep me unbaned as far as I can.

1. To update luma manually is as simple as delete boot.firm 8.1 from the root of sdcard and put boot.firm 8.11? That is all? or do I need to boot into n3ds and go to luma or something and do some settings or check?

It is as easy as replacing the boot.firm file on the root of your SD card, yes. Alternatively, you can also use Luma Updater from the 3DS itself, which will download and replace the boot.firm file for you.

2. Will manually updating luma by just changing boot firm versions, will I still get the option to press A+X or something like that, to be able to boot without sdcard? and is that option a must to have? what is the standard or best to do if that pop up?

If you want to be able to boot your 3DS with the latest version of Luma3DS without an SD card, you need to make sure you copy the latest Luma3DS boot.firm from your SD card to the root of your CTRNAND. Luma Updater can do this for you.

You are free to update your 3DS while using B9S and Luma3DS, so there's nothing wrong with being online. However, if you're going to be online with your 3DS, it is recommended you follow these steps to minimize your risk of being banned:

There have been reports of a wave of bans being handed out to CFW users by Nintendo. To protect yourself, please do the following steps before starting this guide:

1. Go to System Settings, then “Internet Settings”, then “SpotPass”, then “Sending of System Information”
2. Disable the “Sending of System Information” option
3. Exit the System Settings
4. Go to your Friend’s List (the Face Icon in the top row of your Home Menu)
   • If you receive an error and are kicked out of the menu, the Friend’s List setting is already disabled

Since you have B9S and Luma3DS installed, you have no need for Flipnote Studio 3D as a homebrew entry point. You can already use homebrew with Rosalina.

5. I have r4 gold flashcard and kids plays snes games from it, what emu does that use? I see I can install SNES9x in the n3ds. is that the same emu or forget about the flashcard emu and just install SNES9x?

There are several SNES emulators that could be used on the R4 flashcart, including SnesDS and SNEmulDS. You should use whichever emulator you prefer. However, SNES9x will probably run better. If you use a N3DS, you could just use Virtual Console games, which should run even better.

6. Finally, what is the different in installing something via freeshop and via cia? what is the best way?

Functionally, neither is better than the other. If you prefer to download CIA files on your computer because it's quicker, you can install those with FBI. If you prefer the convenience of downloading and installing games through freeShop, then use that one.

Thanks for the answers. I read there was problems with luma updater so I thought I ask about just changing boot.firm
which is super easy. Since I haven't see any errors yet, maybe I should wait to update it.

Is that better to do? so having luma boot.firm in 2 places in case one doesn't work the others does? sounds like it shouldn't be an option but should be a must? or I don't understand it well! hmm..
