Can I hack a legit 11.4 3DS?

So after all the failures and pain, I got my Gateway saves imported and my Gateway blue card running with all the DS games on it. Pretty nice. Thanks.

Question - the blue card has a bunch of GBA games on it that run with a "GBA Exploder" app that looks like a DS game on the cart. That doesn't work anymore - when you launch it it gives a save error and says to re-setup. That's expected and normal, correct? Not worried about it otherwise - I know I can inject GBA games into cias.

I was reading the DSiWare hax page and something isn't really clear on my mind: Is there a way to delete and assign a new NNID for a console? Because I was planning on doing so but don't really want to have the same NNID assigned to both consoles :/

I was reading the DSiWare hax page and something isn't really clear on my mind: Is there a way to delete and assign a new NNID for a console? Because I was planning on doing so but don't really want to have the same NNID assigned to both consoles :/

An NNID cannot be associated with two consoles at once. When you transfer it gets removed from the source and assigned to the target.
If you restore the NAND backup to the source and it thinks you're still logged in, go to NNID Settings. You'll probably get an error (console thinks it is signed in but the servers tell the console it is not allowed to have that NNID). Hold X and Y while the error is showing and it will clear it.

Just finished switching my gf's OLD3DS to B9S. Updated Luma 3DS/boot.firm to the latest stable version. Is it safe to update to 11.5 with this OLD 3DS? I read somewhere that the payloads are not yet available for 11.5 on OLD3DS, only N3DS.

What you heard is for stock systems trying to use homebrew. You can update.

If anybody can help me, I have a noob question regarding fasthax/udsploit. I previously followed the Guide and used udsploit but upon successful completion found that I could not exit. I continued to restart and try again for four hours straight. I tried to exit by pressing Start and Start + A button. I couldn't exit without either restarting or pressing the L + R + B + Down combo. This brought me to the debug screen.

I had two outcomes with the debug screen, an eventual crash with an error to save all progress within the program or software and then to restart the device or I would have to manually power off the device as the crash did not occur (and I still could not exit).

I used all of the latest versions up to this point. I have a 2ds with 9.9.0-26U firmware. I made sure to copy the contents of the starter file and not the file itself, and made sure to rename the otherapp.bin appropriately.

I have been connected to wifi as well the whole time, and I have a cartridge inside.

The only problem is my game cartridge requires an update (to run) to 11.0 and if I update (since the latest version is 11.5) then I may not be able to try again at all (as homebrew launcher is it completed in installation- no backup yet and no way to downgrade past 11.4).

I did not receive a black and red screen after pressing start- I did not receive any kind of change in the screen at all.

Eventually I started to try different versions. I found a "fix" for this to change udsploit to fasthax (as I mentioned I did above) since udsploit may only work on firmware at 11.3 or above. Tried this- could not exit. I also found advice to change the fasthax to an earlier version and the safehax as well. Tried this, also Coukd not exit upon completion.

Before changing from udsploit to fasthax- I tried to restart and run safehax anyway. This did not work. I didn't try it again downloading fasthax.

Anyway, I could really use some help please. My friends birthday is on the 13th and I've bought this one to mod and give him the old one (11.4).

Your friend has the same birthday as me :-) Can you post a picture of your SD card contents so we can see if you are missing anything?

Had a random question- why does connecting to eshop delete dlcs for games that were installed with fbi? Is there a way around it because I have yet to make a NNID on my b9s+luma n3dsxl

If you buy or download any DLCs the eShop creates some sort of list saying what you should have. If you connect to the eShop it checks this list and deletes any you aren't supposed to have. If you never download any from the eShop then it won't create this list and won't try to reconcile what you can and can't have. The only way to have it not happen is to never download any DLCs free or otherwise with your console (either pirate the lot or pay for the ones you want to keep).
