Tried out the DSI card..it was an Acekard2I actually, but it simply said there was an error when launching. Oh well, worth a go.

Then you get SoundHax setup and launch JKSM through HBL

And that all works on a new 2ds running 11.3.0-36?

Yes. Homebrew works, cfw not.

Do you have otherapp.bin on the root of your sd

Yep, sure do. Otherapp.bin, the starter folder, and the .m4a file.
It's doing stuff, just freezing on a red debugging style screen.

Try to download the 3sdsetup.tk Homebrew Only zip and extract it to your sd.

So there was probably some file missing from your sd card

That should have been inside the starter zip

Ah, that's where I went wrong. Copied the contents of starter.zip onto sdcard.
Unfortunately, the contents included a folder called "starter". The 3ds folder etc was under that.

Anyway, all sorted now, thanks a lot Uumas!! Couldn't have done it without your help.
Got the save game exported from the new 2ds, and now successfully imported onto the hacked 2ds

Do I place the theme .zip file in /theme or do I just cherry pick certain files?

you unzip the theme .zip to the theme folder on your sd

how do i make a plugin that writes large values for experience?
in my source gameplg.c code i used
WRITEU16(0x0882C034, 0x000F423F);
exported to a plugin, and the code technically works, but instead of writing F423F (999999exp), it just writes 423F (16959exp)... i could get 999999exp when i was using a debugger, so i don't know why it isn't working with the plugin.

To clarify: 11.2 and below is hackable. 11.3 is not. When your console is hacked however, you can always stay on newest FW. So .. The only logical conclusion is to hack your 3DS now, then update to 11.3 and go from there. Just make sure you follow THE guide .. which is 3DS.Guide

If a install now a CFW, I will not buy any game so first I want to complete my own 3DS collection and then Install a CFW .
So no news for 11.3. Thanks
