fwiw i think i've figured out why N3DS 11.4 payloads are misbehaving - expecting to have a fix out soon (probably tomorrow)

Edit: I'm assuming by misbehaving that means people having issues running various homebrew should have fewer problems with this fix. Tried asking him on twitter exactly what the problem that is getting fixed but he didn't reply so I can't really verify.

Edit2: Fixed payloads were released, which fixes homebrew not working properly in 11.4 n3ds

From what I can tell it's n3ds for now based on the tweet, though I'm fairly certain it was already working for n3ds. So either:
1. It was working but not as well as it could be, so it's fixed for n3ds, or
2. He meant o3ds.

Can anyone who actually knows explain why payloads seem to only be fully broken on o3ds and not both o3ds and n3ds? What is the hardware difference that causes this issue difference between devices?

Ah now that I think about it a lot more threads have been created about people having issues with some homebrew. I apparently don't use HBL enough to really know as most homebrew I use have CIA versions that I prefer.

The issue until now was that you could get into hbl on 11.4 n3ds but most homebrew would just crash. So it wasn't really working.

It's probably for issues for why N3DS owners on 11.4 need the 11.2 payload in order for some homebrew apps to work (GBA emulator and Doom for example), as they crash when using the default 11.4 that the HBL downloads and uses, plus other things too.

if you are wondering what is wrong with the 11.4 payload it is buggy

NOT USING CFW on OFW 11.4

yes it works to load HBL and some homebrew (very small number), but most do NOT works

you crash at a red bottom screen and a messes top
and
if the homebrew needs gmes save access you crash with a green bottom screen

Is it safe if you're on latest Luma (as per the main 3DS guide) to update to 11.4 if you don't use much homebrew?

did you update the app(swapdoddle) as the newer version of the app breaks the hax

if you have the message installed already
try and replace the 2 other bin files in the doodlebomb folder other then otherapp.bin
