Yes, you won't be banned just for being on a lower firmware. That'd be very counterintuitive on Nintendo's part.wait..what? Does that mean I wont get ban right.Since i'm on 11.5 not 11.6

wow. And what Firmware are you on ?Yes, you won't be banned just for being on a lower firmware. That'd be very counterintuitive on Nintendo's part.
I have the right idea I just don't misuse the tools provided by the best modding community around. I use FBI and every other cia/homebrew I've installed, while online. (On 4 separate consoles) NTR for streaming. Freeshop, FBI, etc. I don't use plugin's or cheats for games, but I use (just about) everything everyone else does, online and have not been banned. Never cleared the log and have no plans to clear it.you have the wrong idea its not pirated content (pirated games have legit title id's). . . its unauthorized content ex. any homebrew app in .cia format (freeshop, fbi, ntr, ect)
11.5. I just haven't updated yet.wow. And what Firmware are you on ?
did you use (fre)eshop to downlaod all cia games? and can you play online with outdated fw?11.5. I just haven't updated yet.
Yes, and I've been playing online. I'll have to update to continue doing so, though, because there's no way to bypass the firmware check now. I could setup a frankenfirm, but I'd rather not.did you use (fre)eshop to downlaod all cia games? and can you play online with outdated fw?
So you gonna update to 11.6 soon?Yes, and I've been playing online. I'll have to update to continue doing so, though, because there's no way to bypass the firmware check now. I could setup a frankenfirm, but I'd rather not.
wait. so you didn't use freeshop to install .cia games? Most people lie about what they've done to incur a ban anyway. I agree with you, I haven't been banned since playing SuMo early either and that was a hyperban. God rid of it, made a new NNID and been in the clear ever since. I don't use HomeBrew at all, I ONLY use .CIA installs and never cheat online and still haven't been banned again (though I do have private seeds stored just in case).
Yes I do.wait. so you didn't use freeshop to install .cia games?
ok.IF you use the shop . i think i have to sownload one too.Yes I do.
i am not saying its true just wanted to get the "popular" belief out there . . . personally i have 3 3ds's (and have hacked 7 others) and only one got banned (. . . and it was one i had not used for a year before the bans) but the point is the same i never did anything "different" on that 3ds . . . its not like i was doing anything to avoid bans on any console (in fact with my 5 extra seeds i can unban myself)I have the right idea I just don't misuse the tools provided by the best modding community around. I use FBI and every other cia/homebrew I've installed, while online. (On 4 separate consoles) NTR for streaming. OP's question in a simplified manner: "If you have no been banned, what did you do to prevent being banned?" -
A: Turn off the WiFi before you do things you may think will get you banned. Set up a private NTR network with a extra router and limit the 3DS system's actual internet access but retain connection to your PC so you can record the streams if you're using that. Common sense. If you are that paranoid and think you have to hide the use of your console from a company you bought it from (It is then not their property to control) then hide it all you want. I have never attempted to hide it and have not been banned, thankfully. Use the tools you are provided responsibly.
Mod it. Support the devs. Enjoy it.
have you ever go online?I haven´t been banned and I haven´t taken any precautions because I´m lazy...
I´ve never cleared my activity log either
I play online, yeshave you ever go online?
You can't disable them. It only takes running .cia homebrew while online once for Nintendo to log it, which could be enough reason for them to ban you later on.But some said they got ban without using any cheat and even disable all the feature that can cause ban. :/
you have the wrong idea its not pirated content (pirated games have legit title id's). . . its unauthorized content ex. any homebrew app in .cia format (freeshop, fbi, ntr, ect)
There's a 3dsx version if you run 3dsxes via Rosalina
Or just use the cia version and not be paranoid
totally they appear as legit appsSo it's ok to play games online that were downloaded through freeshop without the risk of being banned?
close . . . it lets you "temporarily" replace an official app with the homebrew loader so you can use .3dsx files and they will still log in the system as the original app.I had read something about how the Rosalina menu allows you to inject a cia into a legit title making it look like you are playing that title instead of the unauthorized cia. I haven't done too much searching on this yet but if I am thinking correctly,
with rosilina it is download play, it's the only official app recommended/endorsed by the cfw's author . . . but it will mask your (.3dsx version) homebrew usagethen if I inject freeshop into Health and Satefy app then Nintendo should never see that I am running freeshop.
yes in addition if there is a .cia format homebrew app (and this goes for any unofficial app not just homebrew ex vc injects, forwarders, ect) that you want to use then do it while offline and run a official app before turning on wifi (from what we can tell nintendo can see the current app when online and if no app is open it will report the last app opened instead)Am I correct on that and is that a good way to stay safe in addition to the tips on the 3ds.guide website?
it is believed that nintendo logs all info collected and in order to accurately ban it takes actual people, that takes time and money. from a business aspect its cheaper and simpler to collect data, until you have a big enough workload to justify assigning a team . . . so the general belief is if you have committed this infraction then you have been logged in their database and its only a matter of time before the "next wave" gets youI haven't been banned yet either and I do use online and just want to ensure that the tips in the 3ds.guide are enough. Thanks.
