Reggie Fils-Aime claims that Nintendo will have a "big" E3 this year

KmDyD4j.png

In a video interview with Fox News, Nintendo of America's CEO, Reggie Fils-Aime spoke about how Nintendo is innovating the game market, with the Switch, and recently released Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. "I think anyone who says they know where this industry is going is really not knowledgeable about the industry, given that at its heart, it's all about innovation and creativity," said Fils-Aime. At the end of the video, Reggie claims that Nintendo will "have a big E3 this year." and that they will be "showcasing a variety of games, as well as having surprises planned" for the event. Lastly, he says that E3 will be a major opportunity to show what Nintendo has in store for not only the Switch, but for the 3DS as well.

find that hard to beleive, nintendo deliberately delayed it to make it a launch title to help make the switch sell better.

but logic fails, if your claiming nintendo made a game for a last gen system, then if anything it should perform better on the new system?

nintendo would have more likely made the game for the switch and dumbed it down for the wii u, again hence its delay.

mario is a completely different type of game, its not going to be an open world game like zelda (elder scrolls clone) mario will have a small town you run around then enter separate levels.
BOTW is a Wii U port...what you believe is irrelevant

the 3ds - more so aimed for kids, the wii u lacked games but as stated, minus the usual nintendo titles whats left? nothing much hence the faulire.

there are reasons behind nintendo's failure and lets take the snes, kick ass machine would not consider it as a failure, then came the n64 and its failure started here, its ignorance to continue with old tech (carts) put devs off when it was cheaper and cd format offerred more.... yes the n64 had better graphics but it was costing more to produce, but the N64 still in my eyes had some great titles, the PS1 pissed all over it.

then came the cube, sony already had a good relationship with third parties and this carried over to the PS2, the cube had some great titles but again not that many, nintendo then promised better support but couldnt afford to take the risk so they revamped the cube.

the wii was marketed very well and did very well in sales, but its hardware was preventing it from getting the titles that third parties were pushing its games towards and it ended up littered with sports/party type games.

then came the wii u and sorry but nintendo's excuse its just a lie, it failed to get devs on board and again hardware, nintendo been cheap released a subpar last gen machine again with a bs tablet controller - it had minimal support and then it died pretty quickly.

we can see the same again, nintendo releasing another console thats not able to compete and knowing this nintendo add another bs gimmick to give it hype.

also to help prevent its sales looking bad, they decide to combine its home console market with its portable.... now to third parties and shareholders, this has to be a win win right?

but lets ignore the copied concept that it is, and look at it as what it is, a home console.... whats the chances of third parties releasing its AAA titles to it? very slim..... again.

nintendo can brag to the retards as much as they like on how they claim its sales are best ever (comparing to wii u), when the fact is, adding portable sales (3DS) to the console figure it falls short.

end of the day like any other nintendo console, it will prove it will be just another system with the usual nintendo titles.

i would bet both my testicles on this, it is fact third parties do not support nintendo as much as they do the other consoles, simply because nintendo refuse to spend money and make something that competes, they release cheap shit and over hype it.

most fans refuse to see this because theyre blinded.... i have a switch and i find its so called innovation a laughing stock, it shows how cheap and nasty and out dated the darn thing is, lucky for me it wasnt my money spent on it.

i will be willing to let anyone cut my happy sacks off if this console starts to get the great AAA third party titles the other systems get, thus giving gamers the option to buy said title rather than not have that option, because end of the day you buy a console to play games.

try use your joycon as a wireless controller and move further than 5 feet from your dock, in fact im sure if you moved to the exit of which ever room i bet it wont stay connected.

now take your ps3 or ps4, 360 or xbx1 what ever and see the difference...... its 2017 and nintendo "innovate" cant get wireless controllers to work properly and why.... poor design and shit hardware.

"lets put a square piece of sponge t fix t problem"..... hmmm ok nintendont, lets not recall them and improve its hardware that performs better.
you forgot that now preety much all nintendo studios will work only on the switch so the number of actual games will increase by alot, heck even game freak is hyring modelers so they will go for the switch too.

if every nintendo studio makes switch games we will have a healthy library even if its mostly nintendo exclusives, most AAA titles that arent exclusive are available on PC so meh you dont loose too much.

For that reason Nintendo literally makes the only consoles you should ever buy, unless you're lower class or just poor. a well built PC has far superior graphics and runs all the games anyways, and playstation exclusives are available through PS Now on PC.

Wow! They're really pushing it. I might actually get a switch when I see reviews of XCX 2. After completing the game on Wii U, I'm all hyped for the sequel. BOTW and XCX got me in the last stretch of Wii U's lifespan.

Xenoblade Chronicles X 2 has not been announced. The game coming out is Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which is a sequel to the Wii game.

Last year was just Zelda and Pokemon.
Year before... was even worse. Hardly anything of interest.

C'mon Nintendo, step it up!
You will not speak of e3 2015. Seriously though I wish they would officially unveil the specs. Also Metroid and Mother 4.

@grossaffe
My bad. It was Xenoblade Chronicles 2 without the X. I thought the announcement was a sequel for X. haha. Sorry bout that.
No harm. Just making sure you knew what to expect. Don't know if you played the original, but I'm much more excited for a sequel to that one than for a sequel to X (not that the first one wasn't a perfectly self-contained story; I'd be happy for a spiritual successor, too, that was more in the spirit of the original than X, but that's just one man's opinion)

nintendo had the same stuidos back then, where were they on the cube, hmmm, the wii had more devs on board but releasing the same type of games (party/sport/mini games), the wii u again nintendo had these studios but where were the games.

game freak are taking on staff so do other devs as new consoles come out, maybe game freak have a new pokemon idea but want staff that can make the game because to be honest, all theyve done in the past is 2d or semi 3d titles.

thing is most the fans keep insisting it gets the best games, i guess thats to their own yet we all know nintendont have always lacked the best third party titles and you end up seeing them ported when nintendo finally catch up.

all i will say is watch as it will not improve its third party support, nintendo never do, if i remember correctly didnt nintendo claim to promise better support again? they do this each time they launch a new last gen revamp.

what they dont understand is devs will not spend money on nintendo consoles that have little return to them, its why you dont see alot of titles that were exclusive to nintendo, getting remasters for the other systems or sequels but completely skipping them.

also take the likes of capcom and RE7, it would not be cost effective to have one team make the PS4/XBX1/PC version then pay another team to make a version to run on the switch, its hardware wont allow RE7 to be ported as it can with the so again youll have devs restricted by its hardware, now adding higher costs for the cart size.

and this is because nintendo are more bothered about making cheap consoles and using bs gimmicks to give it hype.... nothing is innovative about the switch at all, its simply copied off other tablets.

now here, if the switch was just a console to replace the 3ds then it would be in a sense great because no other handheld console is like it, minus tablets that offer great games for free.

but its not, its a new home console which is inferior and above problem repeats, its only reason to combine portable is to save money and make it sound better than it is.

i just cant sit and love the company blindly anymore, i used to be a big fan, but now i see past the false promises and lies and hate them for claiming to be something theyre not, just to make easy money.

the since the cube nintendo consoles sit doing nothing and i find it a wasted investment buying a console that doesnt get the option to play what i want to play, other than zelda (which again is a big IF i do) nintendo simply recycle the same games and storylines over and over and over and over again, but we all know fans will love anything regardless...... take the shittiest tv show you can think of, bet you 100% its fans would call you out, say your full of shit, your a troll because they refuse to accept it.

im currently loving the boasts about best sales...... has no one even bothered to actually compare them? because if they had theyd find its:
A) comparing Wii U (DOA console) sales (nothing to brag about)
B) isnt beating the wii
C) not including portable console sales with xxx console
D) doesnt compete with current systems

once its wow factor dies down, thats when you will see what always happens.

I want the VC service to be like Netflix, except you can both stream or download games. Unlike PSNow, which is crap; you don't need an internet connection to play classics on the go. Like for $49.99 a year or $19.99 a month, you can stream all of the classics but you'll have to pay a very small discount to download them. Hell, the VC hub could even mimic the one Sega uses for their Mega Drive/Genesis games on Steam, that would be awesome! Having an 80s/90s/2000s room with access to hundreds of classics, spanning from 1985-2015 would be pretty sweet! Though, I still think Nintendo will do the same bullshit they did with the 3DS and Wii U and start all over again and re-release every single game for like the 4th damn time! That means the 4th time for NES games, 4th time for SNES games, 3rd time for N64 games, 2nd time for GBA games (not counting the 3DS Ambassador releases), and the second time for both DS and Wii games (if those are even possible on the Switch).

I play botw with slowdown on my wii u but it ain't no big thing, most of the time it's smooth and I'm always having fun brah
Takes me forever to travel to new areas and even find new shrines, but it's such a great game and I play it for hours every day, (around 6-8 hours, to be exact). As for the slowdowns, they're pretty rare.

The only problem I have with the JoyCons is the black thing can get stuck and not slide all the way through the controller, when you disconnect them from the tablet. Happened last night, when I was doing that tedious shrine in BoTW where you have to get the ball through a "tilt labyrinth" like mini-game by using the tablet or JoyCons for gyroscope controls and I had to get help from a neighbor (I live in a duplex) and I also got locked out of my apartment, until my mother came and let me in.

I find the joycons are a total nightmare, cheap hardware preventing you from using it as a wireless controller, maybe done deliberately to force users to pay more for a default controller.

it is almost impossible to play missions like this because its too sensitive, your mission i actually cheated by tipping the maze upside down and then rolling the ball off the edge and flipping it to the platform...... this doesnt work well if your playing portable mode, yes you can detach the joycons but the screen is too small (i have no idea how your meant to do multiplayer on this screen).

ive finally completed the game and find it rather turd, far from deserving 10/10.

and here are the usual quotes that sound like utter fanboys.

how is it an opinion when its problems with the damn system?

so your insisting then the joycons have no faults at all, compare them to a ps3/ps3/360/xbx1 wireless controller..... ohh wait you cant go too far with the joycons because IT WILL DISCONNECT, END OF, NO IFs NO BUTs. that is due to the hardware used.

when playing portable, it is almost impossible to use gyroscope to tilt a maze and maneuver a ball..... why..... because you cant focus on the screen, when using it docked, the joycons are also too sensitive and do not respond accurately.

this is not an opinion its from experiences using the fucking thing!
