Solved my save state problem. I found some games just didn't generate saves when leaving the emulator but after checking the roms all the ones that didn't work had a name that an extra "." (e.g Final Fantasy III (U) (V1.1) [!].smc)
Hackchi2 does some processing on the name to strip out problem characters, but that example file becomes: Final_Fantasy_III__U___V1.1_____.smc and while the game runs no save state is generated leaving the emulator. Stripping out the V1.1 part (really just the period) fixes this. It's quicker to just delete the game from Hakchi2, rename the rom and re-add it rather than renaming it and editing the .desktop manually.
It's worth keeping in mind since this will probably apply to all cores.
Are you saying that PAL games are still not supported? I too am planning on running some PAL roms (NES/SNES maybe even N64) although I've not had time to download 2.12 yet...So, I'm the only dude here who tries to use nestopia? ._.
This core does not work, what do I try... =_='
If someone here is enable to launch Asterix with nestopia, at the right speed and without any bug, please make a tutorial or help me...
Also tested 32x with @pcm720 module and same result : blackscreen and return to menu after select a game with the bon/32x command line. D:
From my previous tests, PAL games runs with Retroarch automatically at the right speed with nestopia, BUT hakchi systematically uses fceumm, so PAL games are still not supported (speedup, or breaking like Asterix, with fceumm) in my point of view...Are you saying that PAL games are still not supported? In french 'cause now it's really pissed me off:
How big are the N64 ROMs? I had this when I had too many n64 ROMs. 5 should be fine though unless they are huge games. I managed to get 7 n64 games on mine when I had the N64 folder as leftmost.Having an issue. I have total 56 NES games. 5 sega. 5 snes. 5 n64 games. 4 folders. And the NES one is split A-Z. I cannot get the red power led to turn off after the 4th "too many roms" screen during flashing. Any ideas?
CPS2. It's me nesito.

retroarch.hmod goes in the folder user_mods. The zip file goes just in the Hakchi2 folder (root), you actually don't need it if you want RetroArch to be hidden. After that you need to install the module through Hakchi2, next to File -- Kernel.Great that this works, accept not with me, possibly i am doing something wrong.
I do not know where the mod files go, i just wanted a system that when i turn it on i see, NES, SNES, SMS, MD, GB & PCE folders.
Inside the NES folders i would like to see the original 30 games, with the other 30 games i added.
In the other folders about 10 games a folder.
I do not want to scroll through RA.
If anyone can tell me how to do this, i would be a happy monkey.
You need to add the --retroarch in command line of the game you want. If change in command line global it's change for all, I think. Remove the --retroarch from global command line.@nesito
I've got another problem now. Since I added "--retroarch" in the global command line arguments field, my 2 .fds games won't run. I run them, get a black screen and then get sent back to NESC gui. I'm trying to run Alien: Alien 2 (Proto) and Transformers: The Headmasters (Japan). They ran fine in the NESC gui, but now that I've switched over to running them in retroarch, they won't run at all.
Argh....if it's not one thing it's another lol
Does retroarch need a fds bios when its running through the NESC, or is it already built in?
@nesito Hi guy ! Can you help me, please ? I've installed Retroarch (without we can see) in Mini Nes Classic because I can run Super Mario Mart. Yet, I can't play Astérix or Beauty and the Beast or The Mysterious Murasame Castle and I've written command line "--retroarch" in every game. Why to your mind ? Thanks. You need to add the --retroarch in command line of the game you want. If change in command line global it's change for all, I think. Remove the --retroarch from global command line.
