simple sig patcher is great but if you do anything that reloads firm you have to manually start it again eg. system settings + ftpiiu_everywhere thosen't work without it

I believe it's no longer the case that you have to manually restart it. I'm still not switching though because for now the only real advantage is that you don't need to compile cfw (or find it on the internet).

@Reecey If all our setups are "wrong" then upload your haxchi config and how your file is setup. It takes 2 minutes for it to boot sysnand. That is how it has always been
I will, I promise my cameras charging. I will post it up soon as possible. Also my config.txt is here for anyone wanting it, its a long one:-

It doesn't help that people are encouraging this coldbrickhax.

I have seen like 5 people who wii u is looping because used this installer with a random fw.img they found on youtube
That's hardly fair to say... the installer is perfectly safe to use and even if you do manage to get a boot loop you just pop into the recovery.elf or replace the faulty fw.img or elf

However said people are too stupid to figure that out. They just download blind and don't read at all.

In fairness, not everyone has a full blown computer...

I once helped someone hack a 3DS that only had a chromebook (this was before the backup restore from other systems was implemented...)

Are you using coldboothax? What fw.img fork is it?

If they can't even borrow a computer then they shouldn't be hacking their consoles anyways.

I will show you the video first. Its got a nice twist to it, you should like it! :)

I'm using my own cfw coldboot fw.img, originally taken from Dimoks iosuhax master. I also have sign_patcher-coldboot with trigger "r" so I can boot that one up if I wanted to change which is not really necessary but its there in case.

I understand that some people are scared of everything. What I'm saying is coldboothax is crap. So is "quickboothax"

Meh. I couldn't ask for much more on a closed platform. I get what you're saying. It would be awesome if the bootloader got pwned. However, as it is right now, I have a cfw that automatically loads at power on with no user input so that I can launch any title (even eShop, VC, DLC, unsigned titles) without having to perform any extra steps. The only downside is the console takes about an extra 35 seconds to boot. Also if I brick my console I'll have to solder a USB controller to the board to fix it. Bricking is unlikely, soldering is fun, and 35 seconds is enough time to grab my beverage of choice. To my that leans more towards awesome than crap.

I know it isn't a hax. However your even admitting that your using clickbait tactics to stop people from doing what they want. Nobody will give a shit about and will use it anyways.

I think of coldboothax like trimming a bush with a pair of scissors instead of a trimmer, it's just plain silly and provides no benefit. All I was trying to do was inform them about the trimmer since we don't have the laser yet (boot0/1 exploit)

You can't stop stupid people from doing stupid things. If they screw this up at least it's fixable and the scare they received could be a nice lesson for them. The lesson being don't follow YouTube "hacking tutorial" videos especially when it comes to devices that receive software/firmware updates. Also most people who post said videos are technological ignoramuses. It's pretty funny though to watch somebody who represents themselves as knowledgeable in tech grab a piece of paper to obscure their local IP address (i.e. 192.168.1.101). Back in the day there was a Verizon Galaxy S3 bootloader unlocking exploit which got fixed in a firmware update of course. However, people were still following the guide and bricking their phones left and right.

Nobody likes an overgrown bush. You gotta handle that. Scissors or otherwise.

It was not quite around 30 seconds like I mentioned, it was about 45 seconds from Nintendo Logo to Home Menu but certainly not over a minute:-

So your saying you skiped both the wii u boot logo and the iosuhax splash? So what version of iosuhax are you using?

Yes, I didn't record the "Nintendo" logo sorry, bit at the beginning I don't count that, I just started the video asap soon as it went to black screen and then onto the main menu.

wiiu boot logo makes up about 20 seconds of boot time..... and the booting of the haxchi title is another 10.....

When people said one minute after power on they meant one minute after power on not from the first time it loads the Wii U menu. Your coldboothax process it the same as what others have been talking about.

I meant the Nintendo logo, the wiiu logo and hixachi logos are not there I have got rid of it.
so the only thing special about your setup is that you removed all graphics? Removing splashscreen on iosuhax is easy but I don't think it provides any benefit plus the graphics while launching the haxchi title have no effect

It is faster, not hugely faster, I agree but not over a minute or near 2. I never said anything about a massive reduction in boot up time, just a bit quicker than what others where mentioning that was all.

Bullshit. You implied that you had a secret sauce setup, said that it booted in about 30 seconds, and that if other people's consoles were taking a minute to boot they had set it up wrong. Nobody's setup takes nearly 2 minutes to boot. The dude who said that was overestimating the boot time, just like you were underestimating it.
