In that case you'll need either a PowerSaves (I think) or an exploitable console. And if you have an exploitable console you have no need for Sky3DS or headers (can install cias which do not have headers at all).

When doing the DsiWareHax downgrade do you lose any datas on the hacked 3ds? Just wondering for future reference if I buy a console with 11/11.1 Firm

if you backup your SD card and your NAND of your hacked 3ds then after the downgrade+the hack of the other console you can restore the hacked 3ds one and have all your games and saves intact.the only trouble you will find will be your NNID restore to the hacked console

Yes it is.You have to wait a week to transfer it back to your hacked 3ds or call nintendo if you can't transfer it(N3DS->O3DS).
I have done the DSiWare Downgrade from the 2DS to my N3DSXL and everything went fine.Because it was impossible to system transfer back I called nintendo and after 1-2 days my NNID was restored to my 2DS and I was able to create a new NNID in my N3DSXL :-)

I have a sky3ds with blue button, today I head somewhere that with HANS you can essentially play the latest games on that. Is this correct info, if so can somebody explain how?

Looks like everyone missed my question, so here it goes.

Are there any downsides to installing 11.1 on a 3DS with CFW(Luma) installed? I've heard some NTR features and maybe something else broke after this update

NTR works on 11.1 now. You can update and then find the BootNTR thread with 11.1 NATIVE_FIRM support.

Nope. NTR initally didn't support 11.1 NFIRM, but that has since been fixed with the latest BootNTR release by astronautlevel. Everything else should be working as normal, including HBLauncher-Loader

I am currently trying to DSiWare downgrade a n3DS. When I check the kernel version and FIRM version thhey are both 2.51-2. Help, please!

Plailect's guide said to start over if that happens. Did you check to make sure you were using the right dgTool for your firmware version and console model?

By right dgTool do you mean the right firm files? If so, I am sure I used them. The 3DS functions normally as if I didn't even try to downgrade it.

Try running the downgrade steps again and make sure you have the right dgTool (boot.nds) and the correct 10.4 firm files.

I have a problem: used the Plailect guide, but cant upgrade from SYS 4.2.09U, cant use homebrew launcher and cant play games or use FBI.

Any idea of what to do ?

Facts:
- my previous SysNand was 4.2.0-9U and my previous EMUnand was 9.0.0-20U, after the Plailect Move Emunand guide appear SYS 4.2.0-9U in settings (in other words, Luma appears to work fine);
- the system only boot with the SDcard (like Plailect said in the guide);
- used the Move Emunand guide (my previous CFW was RXtools);
- the cartridge game dont appear in the home menu;
- my Emunand icons from FBI, games etc appears in home but when I try to open the system say that "SD card was removed";
- can access Luma with Select (selected all 4 options in the guide) and Hourglass with start before boot;

Received some help from good heart gbatemp users and looks like I have the option of using a MSET Pasta CFW exploit, but whant to know if I dont have another option ?

Plus, someone have a idea about why I cant upgrade my system with system settings and why my Nand continues to be 4.2 even after the injection of the Emunand ?

Hi, I already have a o3ds on 10.6 usa and I am getting a new 3dsxl next week which I assume will be one the latest 11.1 fw, my question is should I downgrade my current o3ds for homebrew cias or the new xl I get next week due to the increase ram and VC injection that the old one can't do well like snes games, gba etc. Also which one would be easier to downgrade/ more stable with cfw?
