It happened before the whole code selector overhaul with the seeder. I accidentally typed an invalid code and it replaced my bells with an invisible deadspot, i erased it, but then EVERYTHING broke. This is either a cheat prevention trap or the replacer messes up your save file if the code is messed up.

I've noticed that corrupted/invalid spots are red roses and they don't do any harm to your town.
I've never had this problem before 2.1.... it might be the new plugin, and I'm testing now with remote debugger.

By the way, can you make a block Resetti code? Whenever I thoroughly test this online, sometimes I get random crashes (I'll let you know the next crash I get).For some reason when I entered a local town, none of the codes would work. But as soon as I entered a building and exited, I could use codes again. Can you also prevent or fix selecting codes after the menu screen? I always soft-lock whenever I change codes during a local game
Wow! Seeder hasn't corrupted anything yet for me. It's just search and replace that does that.Aforementioned letter garbling.

I think I might just change it so you type in XXXXYYYY where XXXX is search and YYYY is replace.

Yes, I completely forgot about that lmao. For block resetti, the only thing I can think of is creating a code to delete the resetti surveillance center.

That's where I was having trouble. For search and replace, the function stores two variables, and those variables are somehow messing with different stuff.
Maybe @Nanquitas can help, though

Oh yeah one more thing. If you bring a non-mayor character behind the town hall counter and sit on the chair, you get to begin the permit process again. Yaaay!

I have a new idea.
For the search and replace maybe the game stores it splitly.
The first four are the replace, and the last four are search
if the last four are missing, then the last replace value is used isntead
and as for the glitch, maybe the starting offset is too early or the ending offset is too large? Then when it finds the value in the code it changes it to whatever else, making things break.
In my case it was replacing 5112 with 7ffe.

For Seeder, would you be able to somehow update their location so that you don't have to constantly use a shovel? This would be useful if you are seeding in flowers (Which I just realized you can seed in!)

I exited one of my villager's houses while they were celebrating their birthday party, said goodbye, nothing happened
Later today, I came back in, talked to them about their birthday, exited the house, now I am on an infinite loading screen (the train never stops moving) and I can't continue
