iirc Soul Silver was working before dynarec but I don't know about now. I would test it but I'm having issues loading any rom with the latest release. Every rom immediately resets the 3ds.

Try removing every rom from the nds folder except for the rom that you want to play.

Save states, screen rotation, custom borders, etc. You can't do those natively.
