it will always try to update, spoof doesnt stop nintendo from updating to real 5.5.0 so you need to still keep updates blocked.

i have no access on the web with mi wii u i use my cell phone with app web server for the hack ans and I turn off 3g and wifi to avoid the update this update is started by the CD ssb is the update system or update of this game

you sure you dont have an active wireless network?if its spoofed ssb4 shouldnt install anything since game updates are installed from nus not disc, only system updates are installed from disc.

just delete all conection settings , restart your wiiu and see system settings if it says 5.5.0 still the spoof was done, then try smash again.

Games can still have game updates pressed onto the disc. My SSB had the same thing. Bought it about 3 months ago.

It's usually very obvious. If the game icon is on the home menu, and asks for an update. It's usually a game update.

If the icon looks like a WiiU console, it's a system update that's required.

i would guess its a game update, cancel out and check the download log to see if it says system update or smash bros update......you could/should just use wupinstaller to install the latest smash update and ensure you have the tubhax DNS setup on all your connections just to be safe

and yeah this above, my smash bros didn't, but sounds plausible if you said you have no internet connection, i read some games have a update bundled with them, i always assumed it was packed into the game, but i guess some make you install it before playing, but as long as its not the white update logo and the SSB logo instead its probably just that

just install the latest update via wupinstaller, if its just a game update that should bypass it(it will probably be a older title update anyway and you would probably want to grab the latest update anyway

I'm on 5.4.0 and no internet access, stil ssb always asks me to update, but sicne I have no internet access, I just start the game ^^
