Also does Mario Arcade GP freeze on saving for everyone, I mean I quit out and it has saved fine but freezes on saving game screen.
That is normal, in GP2 it gets as far as saying take out the card now and locks there but in GP1 it just softlocks at the previous screen.
- I was playing PAL Melee yesterday and heard many short beep sounds after selecting a character, almost on every character I chose and it turned out to be pretty annoying. Never happened on any other game. Is that a known compatibility issue? Would there be any way to avoid it?
That is no compatibility issue but rather a access time issue, especially SD cards are really slow on that so beeping will occur in games which use the "h4m" file format, also yes removing the disc speed limit can cause things like missing audio in all h4m games, they are just coded for the perfect disc reads which we cant offer with SD or USB, though USB is more stable with it.

(...) Yes, every game that has the Progressing question screen asks me EVERY TIME if I want to turn on progressive. (...)

There is a way to do anything about this? Gecko codes or something could autoset 480p? I tought setting force 480p would do it, but is not the case.

I'm sorry if this question has been answered before, but in my search,I didn't found anything.
I'm trying to use Nintendont on vWii, and it won't recgonize fat32, only fat/fat16.
I tested with 4 diferent flashdrives (diferent brand as well), and one SD.
1 with 16gb capacity,
2 with 8gb capacity,
1 with 2gb capacity,
and the SD with 2gb capacity.
The problem is, I can't format my 16gb flashdrive, nor my 8gb flashdrive on fat/fat16, and I tried everything.
change the folder name "games" to "game", with games on it, without games on it.
made both folders "game and games" put games on both of them.
with no success.
And I didn't find no one else, even on google, with the same problem as me.
downloaded every diferent version of nintendont I could find on the web, I first tested the one that I found here.
I tried to update nintendont through the option, nothing as well.

but, I was able to run super mario sunshine, with the full iso, on 2gb flashdrive formated on fat/fat16.
and it didn't recognize my gamecube controller adaptor, it's not the official, but on my PC it worked (even the rumble) with the same method I found for the official one.

Please help.

ps.: any english related error found on my post, please correct me, it's the only way to learn :teach:.

The wiiu itself has a defective power suply from the usb ports which makes it unstable to use flashdrives, you should get a Y cable, both my flashdrives work on the wii but dont even get detected on wiiu without the y cable, its a wiiu design flaw so to solve your problem jsut get an y cable and the flashdrives will work no problem it depends on the flashdrives tough some need more voltage than others.

- Nintendont v3.371 on PAL Wii U vWii with 32Gb SD Card -

I have two questions :

- Do GC controllers behave any differently regarding the inputs, triggers and such (even a little bit) when recognized as HID controllers via GC adapter on Wii U (or without using the Native Control options on regular Wii)? Just to know if the Native Control, which of course can't be used on Wii U, has any purpose besides making other GC accessories compatible? Like it'd be more accurate or anything. I guess the HID mapping has been made perfectly accurate but I just wanted to be sure. Melee looks great on Wii U but the gameplay has to be just perfect in high level play (which I do) :)

- I was playing PAL Melee yesterday and heard many short beep sounds after selecting a character, almost on every character I chose and it turned out to be pretty annoying. Never happened on any other game. Is that a known compatibility issue? Would there be any way to avoid it?
Nintendont feels just perfect in any way for the games I currently play on it, so I'd love if Melee could play perfectly as well. Oh and of course I didn't activate the fast disc loading speed. It often causes glitches (at least the music had problems won Melee when I tried it) and I just want to play in original conditions (like if I used the actual disc) with the intended loading times.

Thanks!
Hid controller from gc adapter will of course not have pitch perfect timing remenber on native mode the input you press on the gc controller is linked directly to the game, using the wiiu gc adapter you send a link to nintendont which then nintendont turns into GC controller signal and then sends it to the game so yes some ms are lost in the transition im not an hardcore ssbm player so for me and most users the ms lost arent noticed but for the hardcore users maybe they are i'm not sure only you can tell by yourself.

In Wii U Mode, all flashdrives are detected, I need to use a Y even if the Wii U Mode detects it?

mine usa version works fine on last nintendont, real 251 official nintendo mc on wii.
There was an issue using Virtual Memcards on the USA version, it just wouldn't see them.

what issue? it always worked fine for me for like 100 revs.
Okay cool, I've been away for a while.

There was an issue ages ago (way before even Blutooth and audio streaming was added).
Yeah, wasn't sure if it was fixed and don't see a GitHub rev with the commit.

ALSO:

I am making updates and changes to the nintendont.net today.
Sorry that it's got so outdated so fast, I've been answering questions to anyone that emails me using the site as usual but hadn't kept updated myself on new things.

Question about unlock read speed, is that just disc read speed or timing speed, would it help games like Crash WOC like Devolution did?

I knew it was not possible to use controls for Wii games , but i was surprised to see how Nintendont works with PS3 or Xbox controller , i thought maybe a way could be found to use the GamePad's buttons .

you cant use an xbox controller unless you use an adapter, ps3 controller works fine without adpaters becuase its hid.

Anyone have an idea as to why my "Mayflash Wii Classic Controller to USB adapter for PC [PC052]" isn't working at all on nintendont? The adapter works fine on my PC but it doesn't seem to do anything on nintendont. The controller configs are hard coded in iirc so I tried a controller.ini at the root of the USB and still no luck :\
Adding on to this. HIDTest works as intended and downgrading the nintendont to v2.149 made the controller work so I guess thats ok.

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
