Yeah it was a while ago, sorry.
This issue just came about a few hours ago when 9.8 dropped
Yeah it was a while ago, sorry.
Well, don't I feel sheepish. It does still work. Before I figured out that the patch had nothing to do with patching a version number into memory, and because the patch had already been changed at least once before, I just assumed that it would need a change for the new update. When I came here, the top of this page mentions an issue when 9.8 came out. Hadn't even tried myself until just now because I was busy and began looking into it while at work so I didn't have anything to test with...
Next time do a cold boot->Apply patch->Exit broswer and wait a few seconds->Apply patch again->enter eShop. This seems to work more often. I failed once out of six times, normally I fail 4-5/6 times. It's annoying. (But at least you can eventually get to the eShop, unlike out of date PS Vitas. )I have an old 3ds xl on 9.0.0-20U and was able to use this method to access the eshop and download dlc from in-game before, but was prompted to update when I tried to get on the eshop today. The theme shop and miiverse work fine, though. I tried the cold boot->turn off wifi->load site->turn wifi back on, but the eshop still wanted me to update. Can someone help me out, please?
Hopefully I was just doing something wrong and it still works... I just want to download my Humble Bundle games.
EDIT: Wow, I had been trying for a couple of days before I posted and now it suddenly works. Funny how stuff works out. Thanks.
Are you replacing 'your3dsip' with the IP Address of the 3DS leaving the '?When I use the command
connect('your3dsip', 8000)
Nothing happens
Make sure you're entering it in the proper box at the bottom, not with the printed text. I made that mistake when I first did this.Yes. Do I just press enter after typing this? Does the 3ds need to be in the sdcard wireless management application?
The debugging client just sits there as though it is notepad.
