So I'm confused as to what I'm doing wrong here. I have a US old 3DS firmware 9.2 and when I do this method it doesn't seem to work. OK, so I check the short FAQ in the OP and I see this:

Question : The browser method doesn't work. What can I do?
Answer : Install the right version of the browser (see below).

Alright, simple enough, what version do I need? NA Title ID : 0004003000009402 version: 4096

Alright, fair enough, where do I find this version of the browser? Had to do some additional research to find that the 3DSNUS program was the key here. Fine, I download that, input the title id and version and hit download, wait a minute and a 16MB .cia file is created with the Title ID as the name of the file. Great! So I just need to install this with a .cia installer and I should be good to go right? Well thats what one would think, but... after trying through two different .cia installers I get essentially the same error, "Program already exists. Import canceled."

So I would assume this means I have the correct version of the browser, meaning that I'm lost, I've tried this spoof again and it just doesn't work. I only need it to work for accessing DLC shops within games like Super Smash since I have a legit download code for Mewtwo that I can't use yet (and even though I have a legit downloaded and paid for through the eshop copy of Smash, installing the mewtwo DLC via a .cia installer doesn't install Mewtwo, I am able to install the Mii outfits, but not Mewtwo). I've tested this with even the normal eshop and it doesn't work their either, it asks me to update. What on earth am I missing? I can't figure it out, it seems like I'm following all the correct steps yet it doesn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hate to bump, but I posted my question above late last night, and I fear that those that know the answer to my conundrum never noticed this thread was updated.

Uninstall your current browser (it should show up in devmenu, only system app that does) and THEN install the older version.
You get that error because the already installed version is newer than the one you're trying to install, so it fails.

Try this:
-Cold boot (Turn the 3ds completely off and back on)
-Turn off wireless
-launch browser
-clear cookies and history
-Go to loadcode.projectpokemon.org
-It'll throw a "Wireless is off" error. Close the error message and wait for the page to finish not loading. Then turn the wireless back on and refresh
-After the "Failed to load part of the page" message completely disappears, press the home button.
-It'll throw an error message. Close the message and launch the EShop.
-It should immediately give the login prompt or auto-login. If it doesn't, it will sit there for a bit and tell you to update. If that happen, try again from the start, sometimes it takes a few tries.

What is your sysnand version? 9.2.x-x?
I was on 9.2.0-19 and had to update to -20 via .cia files. The thing is, the file in OP does not link to the update for -20, it links to the browser... this in theory should still work, because i guess it was tested.
Try the steps I posted above in the spoiler tag.

Thought I asked before, but I guess not. How exactly do you use the Hotkey Commands? In ID0, I put the connect command, and in ID1 I put the spoofing command. Now... I end up having to copy from there and paste into the command window...

Also, it only works for eshop itself. I cannot use sleep mode to "download later". I can only download stuff from directly inside of the eshop...

Ah, my problem was I didn't realize I could delete the installed browser, this should remedy my problem, thank you greatly!

Well you can uninstall it with FBI, BigRedMenu, BigBlueMenu and whatever other cia installers/managers there is now, just alot easier to find it in devmenu/bigbluemenu (same thing, different name, banner, icon etc).

I got it to work, I tested with the regular eshop and it works fine, but then I try to access the dlc shop within my legit Smash Bros game that I paid for and downloaded back in November, but it always says I need to update, is Smash Bros' eshop incompatible with this?

Not working for me on the eShop, which is weird considering I could get in the Theme Shop. What could I be doing wrong?

EDIT: Formatted the console, relinked NNID, used the spoofer, entered eShop with no problems. Then I suspended the eShop and was finally able to enter the theme shop without an update nag. Great app!

EDIT 2: Well, after the 3rd or 4th time I accessed the eShop, now the exploit simply isn't working anymore. Does anyone know what causes this?

If you're on a O3DS, it could be because Smash kinds of reboots the console to actually work.

I can successfully spoof both o3DS and N3DS to enter eshop. But once I attempt to choose system transfer on N3DS, the debugger disconnects.
Here's the log: http://prntscr.com/7c3shu

I can successfully get into system transfer on o3DS, just not N3DS. Does it have anything to do with the 9.8 update that just came out?
