(https://www.sandisk.com/home/usb-flash/ultra-usb ................... I use this brand exact model in the 128gb size, I got mines from walmart, some walmarts don't carry above a 64 gig size, you can also try best buy or ebay, if you buy from ebay, make sure your use it good the first few days, so you'll know if its a clone..................psn is your friend, you don't have to but I recommend buying pool hall pro and using that to install adrenaline) (Paragon Partition Manager, software, use fat32 partition, you can use a blank keyboard space to label the drive)

Does anyone know if an SSD uses a lot more power than a flash stick? I'm curious about external enclosure with my PSTV (Again talking SSD, not mechanical)

It will draw more current but it should be within what the PSTV can deliver, which is ~500mA. Some SSDs will have over 500mA listed but that is for operations like secure wiping/sanitizing the drive. I have run SSDs on the Wii U with no issue so it should work fine on the PSTV.

Sweet thank you for the reply, best a 240 gb laying around so was curious. If I already have a USB stick set up, I'd it relatively easy to transfer?

Yea, you just format the SSD to ExFAT then copy all the stuff from the USB Stick over. Also, the Vita/VitaTV does not care if you rename the drive after formatting. I noticed some tutorials said to leave the name blank for some reason.

If you are on Windows, make sure you have the show hidden files and show operating system files enabled so you don't end up copying only some of the USB stick over.

Use adrenaline easy installer and do a fresh install cause the config file needs changing
Hi, hope you can help and apologies in advance if obvious. I installed Adrenaline 6.1 on my internal memory and copied across all the files to my USB so I could run it mounted as UX0. Will installing the USB automount software break Adrenaline 6.1 when running off usb? Also will i need to move any plugins I currently have on the usb mapped to UX0?
Thanks

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
