Question can I use this to buy the Zelda BotW dlc while staying on 5.5.1 ?
Yes, but first, if you have any DS vc games, I highly recommend you install CBHC and update. Also no matter what firmware you're on I think you can just buy it from the eShop on PC and it will instantly install to the Wii u. This applies to both botw and the DS vc game, which I recommend you get both. Brain age is 5 bucks.

Hello.

If I launch NNU Patcher, can it enables update from Nintendo while I'm on eShop ?
Or does it only enables eShop and blocking update through DNS is still active ?

Guys tell me. There is Wii U on software 5.5.1 and a full HDD with installed games via WUP Installer. In the Internet the console goes and games with an online do not test problems. Will it still be perfect if you update the console to 5.5.2 (like it's also broken)? Do I need to update Homebrew, WUP under 5.5.2? My laziness and permanently crooked hands ask me not to update anything, but I also want to go to eShop, because I can not find everything via USB Loader.
Interesting are the possibilities with 5.5.2.
Sorry for the bad english. I use the online translator.

Install Haxchi in .5.5.1 than update to 5.5.2 if you want, it is not needed.
You don't need to update homebrews and other programs.

Just install Haxchi BEFORE update to 5.5.2

Hello. My Wii u is on 5.5.1. I have it running coldboot haxchi and have been using wup installer to save games onto external drive. I had blocked dns servers prior to the 5.5.2 update. I'm still able to play games but I'm not able to get game updates. Will running this program resolve that issue?

Depending on your DNS settings, yes, running NNU-Patcher should allow you to update games normally.

If it doesn't work, then I would recommend you block Wii U system updates by deleting the update folder on your NAND, and then removing your DNS filters. After that, NNU-Patcher should work.

Can you instruct me on how I go about deleting the update folder on nand?

Hey guys, my Wii U is on 5.5.2 and FW updates are blocked via DNS-Server. Updating games and accessing the eshop with NNU-Patcher works fine but now I'm trying to install a DLC for BotW. Using hard reset my Wii U downloads it but won't install it. Is there another way to install it?

Edit: I figured it out myself. I had to launch CFW before installing it.

Greetings everyone. I hope anyone can help me with my problem.
I have the physical NA disc of xenoblade chronicles x.
I tried to update via nnu-patcher, but I keep getting an error.
I find this weird because I did manage to update botw ( na disc version ).
My internet is working fine. Is there a solution to my problem?

You can't update with NNU patcher. Install updates using Wii U USB Helper and WUP Installer.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
