Actually, a Daz-activated Windows 7 can be updated to Windows 10 for free. It passes validation.Daz works for Windows 7, but that install cannot be upgraded to Windows 10 for free, as Microsoft checks.

I know from experience that it works and is indistinguishable from a Windows 10 system updated from a legitimate Windows 7 system.wait. can it or cant it? 0-0? i dont intend to go that far. But it would be good to now this knowledge for future reference

i had to roll back to xp, that thing was unusable in later os....
Late, but did you try this? https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/accessibility/windows10upgradeWow really? i installed Win 7 ultimate edition and i think i will most likely keep my asus on this. I installed win 7 on my spare Asus Eee which i just had lying around. My main laptop is already on Win 10 (the legit way) so i am fine with Win 7 on my secondary laptop. I just wanted faster performance on my secondary laptop and i managed to achieved that. So i am happy.
You used to be able to. The original Windows Upgrade Assistant only checked if Windows 7 considered it valid. Later on Microsoft released an updated assistant that checked you key against Microsoft's servers to ensure it was valid. Now it blocks both Daz and KMS.Actually, a Daz-activated Windows 7 can be updated to Windows 10 for free. It passes validation.
Daz-activated machines still work with the gatherosstate.exe method of updating from Windows 7/8.1 to Windows 10, which is currently the only way to do it anyway aside from the Assistive Technologies method. I upgraded two machines this summer alone. You used to be able to. The original Windows Upgrade Assistant only checked if Windows 7 considered it valid. Since it's old, try going with Lubuntu.Since Windows 7-10 iso downloaded for free is illegal. Which is the best linux to use ? There are several. Not sure which one. I want to replace Windows XP on my other old laptop.
What is this ? I already got Win 10 the legit way on my main laptop. (it came with a free win 10 upgrade when i Purchased it.)
I am guessing you gave me this link in order to update my Secondary laptop from Win 7 to Win 10 for free right? But what is this link about? is it really free?
The gatherosstate.exe method is the recommended way of updating to Windows 10 from a previous version of Windows for free, and it also allows one to do a clean install of Windows 10 over the old version of Windows instead of an upgrade installation, if that's what one prefers. Last I checked, the Assistive Technologies method still works, but it's restrictive and unnecessary....I didn't know that was a thing.
Alright then.
Performing this method of updating to Windows 10 for free is not illegal. However, activating Windows 7/8.1 for free through illegitimate means before the update is illegal.Since Windows 7-10 iso downloaded for free is illegal. Which is the best linux to use ? Put that on my cousin's 512mb ram laptop and it's much more usable now.
Also, it is legal to download W10's iso, and you can use it without a license, but it's very limited. But since it's an old laptop, I'd just go with Lubuntu.

It is free, Microsoft still gives that update out through that link. Updated my W8 tablet with that before selling it.
If you follow my guide above, you can successfully update your Daz-activated system to Windows 10 for free.Thanks. i just read through that link. So essentially it is a loophole that i can exploit if i want right? But my laptop is on Win 7 Ultimate which i activated with Dazloader. Will i still be able to upgrade successfully or would Microsoft prevent me from doing so?
Oh also what are "assistive technologies?". Is this for people who use things like "hearing aids?" etc....? So have MS essentially allowed people with difficulties to obtain Win 10 for free?

I'm pretty sure it should work, if not, follow Lacius's guide.
And yeah, it's for those people. They do indeed give it out for free for them, but since you don't need to prove you need it then you can use it anyways lol
What are your computer's specs? If you already said them, I missed it.Ahh alright i see now. I must have not seen your post before. Thanks i might consider this. But what do you think? Would i better of with win 7 or 10?
I just love how the performance on my laptop is alot faster now than it was on Xp. if this increases the performance even more then i wouldn't mind updating
since i am use to win 10 and enjoy it on my main laptop.
