You're aware people have been getting banned from Sony/MS consoles for years due to modding them, right? The difference is the scene for those consoles tends to put more effort into concealing the fact they're running a modded console.

What you're saying is ridiculous. Console manufacturers have absolutely no reason why they shouldn't ban modded consoles (including Nintendo).
For Nintendo your console is worthless because
1. 95% of cfw users do not buy any games
2. You waste the Nintendo servers for games that you didn't even buy
3. You may cheat and ruin others online experience

Try to go online on any game/check your friends list (if you get an error, it means youre banned)

FreeShop/CIAngel do not send any identifying information to Nintendo's servers while downloading (Atleast outside of sleep mode downloads. I have no idea what that sends, and CIAngel doesn't have it implemented). So they can not ban you from using those programs, outside of a basic IP ban which is easily bypassed.

You are running unauthorized software and it's their job to protect their IP by implementing bans, as a form of punishment. It's retarded to call it ridiculous, because it is not, as we (end users who exploit consoles) should know the risks involved, as it is just a matter of time things like this may occur.

I say it time and time again, if "online" is a major feature you need, then use a legit console purely for that and have a 2nd for exploits and CFW. That way it saves all the butthurt when ban waves happen.
