The duplicate weapons bug might be from "Adding" items to your inventory, instead of just editing a weapon already in your inventory to a weapon you want.

I tried to add a few apples to my inventory to test it out, and when I loaded up my modded save in BOTW, my inventory had 4 slots of apples with the amount of each apple at "0". So I think it was the "Add Item" option in the save editor. However, even though the apples were at "0", I could still eat the apples, and they would disappear from my inventory as I ate them. So the "Add Item" option didn't break the game, so thats good.

I've noticed that happens to me in the 1.1.1 version, once i updated to 1.1.2 it works properly. But at least an option to change de color for the tunics it would be awesome.

So how would I add Epona specifically? Just add it as an item then blow the whistle and she'll appear or something?
Get on a wild horse and don't register it yet, save, open the save with the editor and all the way down you can change the untamed horse to Epona. Then just go to the next stable and register it.

Just tried the new beta :
- Even if I see the Korok Counter, it's grey out and cannot be modified.
- I also see a duplicate weapon bug, i see my weapons two times, one with 2 upgrades "+" (but no values can be added to either ones) and one without upgrade "+"

Force a cache refresh (Ctrl+F5) in order to load the latest version of the editor.

I just wanted to say, you did an amazing job with creating an HTML5 Online save editor! I haven't seen many, if any, Online save editors like this before. I like that the save editor actually detects the save game you upload and opens the correct save editor for that game. Its awesome!!

I am going to use your Github source code of the Save Editor, to learn how you did this, and maybe I can create more save editors to add to your list of save editors. If that is ok with you anyway? I will give you full credit of course, at the bottom of the page.

Thank you :-)
Well... Unfortunately, I'm going to separate the savegame editors (the Zelda BOTW is getting too big and also the ajax loading was causing problems for a few users).
Indeed, all editors will be updated to the latest version asap. And a template will be uploaded too so anyone can create an editor.

Can ancient weapons and/or DLC weapons have modifiers?

Tried putting quick shot on the ancient bow and twilight bow but they can't shoot anything ingame after attaching the modifiers.

I've fixed a few things in the 1.2 beta and added the long awaited korok seed unlocker ;-) More cool things might come too at a later point!

never mind i got it, thanks so much for this editor
So nothing changes? I'm running into the same problem. Any changes I make with the editor don't stick. For some reason when I try to edit again, the editor still shows all my changes, but they still don't show up in game.

see what i did to fix it was, saved it again. Upload that save to all the saves in the 5 folders (0-5) then put it on wiiu and it worked

Yeah, you must inject ALL of the files from the dump, even if you didn't mod them all with the save editor. If you don't, your save won't show up in game, or your save will be corrupted.

Also, the numbered folders are your save slots. I think the game keeps 6 of your latest saves. 0 through 5. If you mod just one save, remember which save you modded, then inject all of the files and folders from your save dump back to the WiiU.

Note: I used Saviine, I don't know if the same applies to SaveMii.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
