O3DS user here, so I use this with NTR Mode3.
Patch slowed down my game so much it became a task of patience to play it >___<
The patch itself (as far as I went ~ and all the cutscenes I watched on my complete save file) is looking great tho! Once again, I'm impressed by team dasding work!
However... Could someone, please, upload a patch-built in game update file for me on that ISO site?

I know, but even on an O3DS it never bothered me, like, I played it the first time on JPN without even using Mode3 (there was no need to use NTR to begin with), and never had any framerate issues on villages and during fights, just rarely (and very rarely) at areas with too many monsters or with swimming monsters. (occasionally at the labyrinth).
But I guess Mode3+MHSt+Patch became too much for my O3DS to handle.
I have framerates all the time now and sometimes even seems to freeze!
Will have to wait for an accessible update+built in patch, sadly...

I noticed some slowdown on N3DS with LayeredFS but I feel like with the files built into the Update its gone, though I haven't actually played since I applied the translation that way but a quick run around a village felt smoother.

If you mean the one Lycanroc posted on that 3ds iso site, then I cant download it at all by that source...
If it's on another iso site, havent run into it, sadly...
First and foremost, hugeeeee thank you to the whole translation project team for making this game playable for someone who isn't fluent in japanese! 
I've been wanting to play this for quite a while and now I can get a headstart before the localized version.
Anyways, for those of you using the NTR method on the N3DS, theres still a large drop in frames/overworld lag. I logged 2 hours using the NTR method and at times on the overworld, my character would freeze completely and from time to time, I'd be ambushed by monsters. After that, I tried out the Luma romfs method and logged another 2 hours and its been MUCH smoother than with the NTR method. Highly recommend trying out Luma gamepatching for those of you experiencing lag. Hope it helps!

The problem was never to find it tho, it was to download it, as mentioned in the thread as well.
Some users (me included) can't get to download Lycanroc's file.

Have you checked the second page for a post by chainsaw3, that is just the update with the english patch applied, honestly that post is why I didn't upload one already since its done, really should be in the update section of that site though.

Did find it, and ForeignBrew's file as well. Both functioning just well. The framerate issues are now gone.
Oddly enough though... after installing their files (tried with both) whenever I boot into the game it keeps telling me that there's a newer update.
This doesn't keep me from online Battles or anything that I have tested so far so I'll just live with that.

Just the home menu is saying you need to update? looks like they didn't set the version when building the file.
There are multiple links in Lycan's MultiUp download link. Try the 1fichier mirror from there and it should work just fine. I just tried it and it finished downloading in 4 mins, no problems whatsoever. Not really sure what problem you're running into
I've just uploaded the update and DLC separately on the ISO site, just check the first post of my thread. It has the correct version number so it won't give you the update nag.
Oh so that's why i can't use the dlc i get from the shop and gets stuck on the boot logo even with the locales. What was on the dlc that I'll be missing?
The game also has bad hiccups on the n3dst too? Because i noticed this and thought it was because of the patch being runned with luma method.the game even without the patch has really bad framerate issues

I guess I'll ask you too. About the dlc, does it require the locale thing for it to work or it just work automatically like regular mh stuff? Because i get infinit boot logo when using the locale.txt
Huh. Then what's the dlc? Because i never noticed anything new with me when i started. Maybe the dinowaldo armor for the cat if anything.
Speak to the DLC felyne next to your house in the first village and download everything.
Im talking about the pack you added. Or are the all the same for whatever reason?
