I'm having a problem with my vWii loading and installing Wii games, every GC game i have tried has worked perfectly. I am using a Sandisk Cruzer 32 gb usb 2.0. I am using patched 58 as well. I could not get the flashdrive to initialize without it I tried ripping both Lego Batman and Galaxy as well as adding multiple games with Wiibackupmanager. I am using the beta version 1263 currently but it happens with 1260 and 1262 as well. I attached my syscheck files. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using r1262.
I can load the loader without freezing, and can see the settings for both the game settings and global settings. However, if I back out of the settings when the USB device is still initialized and/or plugged in, then USB Loader GX will freeze.
Sorry, I can't think of anything which could cause this after deleting the config file. it didn't happen before you delete it, right?

Did you try another device, or formating it? maybe error checking the partition too.

tried ripping both Lego Batman and Galaxy as well as adding multiple games with Wiibackupmanager.
What is really not working ? launching game or dumping the game ?
Dumping a game doesn't work with Flash drives. But it should work fine copying the game with WiiBackupManager on your computer. so I don't think your issue is the dumping process or you wouldn't have mention it.
So, the game is not working ? what do you see ? any error ? what happens? etc.

Oh, and, you posted the wrong file for syscheck.

I neither is working. Dumping the games or booting them after adding them with backup manager. It recognizes that they are their but once I hit start I get a black screen and I loose connectivy with the Wiimote and have to hard power down the console. Also sorry about the file, which one should it be?

Yeah, actually, on another device that I had, it wouldn't work at all with USB Loader GX. While the issue didn't happen before deleting the config file, USB Loader GX would freeze on boot if I added any games to the flash drive than the ones that were on it from the start.

It hasn't been published yet. Look a few posts above and I posted a link to a copy I built.
actually, it's compiled and published, I just not made it very visible as it was only an internal changes and nothing new for the end user.
all the revisions can be found on the mediafire repository, linked in the first post.
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/t2x95zd9rz3rc/USBLoaderGX

I could add a folder for the mods (plugin mod) too, so there's a single place with all files.

@flzmx, sorry I don't know how to help you more.
except formatting and reinstalling all the homebrew and games, I don't know how to fix it.

@Dragon16 : do you have a wiiU too ? maybe you added URL filtering to your router to block WiiU update and prevent access of nintendo servers? it affects all your network, not only the wiiu.

I think you might have missed my reply to you since I didn't et one back. When I try to load Wii games all I get is a black screen and the wiimote looses connection and I have to hard power down the system. GameCube games will load and play perfectly. Which file is the correct one from Sydcheck to post?

lantern : You said you use 58 in the loader, right?
If you use 249 in the loader, are you losing wiimote sync when launching the loader?

If that's the case, the issue is a bad cIOS installation. it happens, and it's easy to fix : just reinstall d2x cIOS over the old one.

If it unsync only when launching a game (not when using 249 in the loader), then I don't know.
You can try to reinstall the cIOS in slot 249 and 250 too, install v8 or v10 r52 (not r53).

Usually black screen is caused by wrong video mode or game region. be sure to use video mode "game default" and not "console default" so the loader set the video mode based on the game region you launch.

I hope it's just a cIOS issue like it's often the case with wiimote unsync.

I just tried switching back to 249 and it Initialized the USB this time and did not unsync while launching the loader but I cannot launch either Wii or GameCube games under 249 at all, same black screen and unsync for both.

I was using alt53 and i just reinstalled with 52 and the problem is still the same. GameCube games will load with 58 but neither GC or Wii will load with 249.

gamecube are not using 249 at all, and the loader is reloading to 58 before booting into nintendont. so it's not an issue with the IOS.
it's an official wiimote? (don't remember if I asked you or another user, but it was in another thread).
did you try another hard drive? (or a hard drive instead of a flash drive)
did you try loading gamecube games from SD card with and without the USB connected?

Hey Cyan,

this is an old (unresolved) issue but I thought I would share the info with you just for the heck of it.

I recently setup my Wii U for the "Brazilian method" of loading games. That said I purchased a 1 TB Western Digital Elements (25A2) USB 3.0 (without a Y-cable) and set it up and it works just fine.

This lead me to think that maybe USB Loader GX (r1262) might play nice with this particular drive since the Wii U seems to like it (relating back to an old conversation I had going a while ago where I couldn't get USB 3.0 drives to play nice with USB Loader GX). I formatted the drive as FAT32 with 64KB cluster size. Needless to say it did not work; same issue as before where it would stick at the "Initialing usb device" screen.

I plugged back in my Western Digital My Passport (071A) USB 2.0 (FAT32 with 64KB cluster size, with a Y-cable) and USB Loader GX would load just fine.

This is just an FYI.

Cheers.

set IOS to 58 in the loader's settings.
The WiiU and the vWii like it, the cIOS doesn't like it.
or you can also set cIOS based on IOS58, but not all games will work (most of them will black screen).

the only way I think about fixing this issue is forcing users to mount the drive with IOS58, but it's not working for all users (some users even have crashes at launch when using 58, so I can't force that IOS to init the drive).

Ahh, speaking of black screen (for users above) : Are your games write protected?
if they are, just remove the write protected mode of your ISO files.
it seems the FATLib doesn't like write protected files.
that's another bug I will have to fix (I added library with attribute support, I need to test attribute detection and edition before launching the games now)
