Hacking [RELEASE] ScummVM

Hi,

First thanks for being so enthusiast. So i finally uploaded a new version, which is really cool to me (mainly for the scalers and speed improvements). Next will be fixing the little lag we have with the mouse (which is already a little better than before) and add touch input. This will probably take some times as i do have a lot of work and other projects but it's planned

Has anyone checked to see if the Humongous Entertainment games work, or know what it would take to get those working?

I tried Backyard Football and it seemed to load and play ok. I've never played it on the PC so it is hard for me to compare but there didn't seem to be any problems other than the mouse pointer seemed a bit sluggish (to me anyway).

Thanks Cpasjuste, this has made my day. I have quickly sat through the intro to Broken Sword and the stuttering seems to have been fixed. I am on holiday for a week soon and I intend to do a lot of adventuring and chillaxing so this is a welcome release. If I spot anything that doesn't seem to work right I will post the information.

The scalers works great - my personal favorite is 2x SAI, as it seems to be the sweet-spot between the original graphics vs. a more technical enhancemented version.

@RitchieRitchie yes just make a folder called SCUMM and put all games in there and when you launch the Scumm app click add folder and find your games and click add . got to add each game 1 by 1 which is a pain but i can live with that

I've been playing it for 20 minutes now and it seems ok and saving/loading works. I did hit the home button to pause the game briefly and when I returned to the game the sound had become distorted. In future I will just hit the START button to pause. I had forgotten what a fun game it is

I'm not sure if I can link so all I will say is that it's a Paradise for Emulators and stuff

You mean saving is not working on FF3 ? (I didnt notice its supported, so you just put the snes rom in a folder ?)

But yes, the Save/Load button doesn't light up on that game.
Even when it's a still frame with no input from the game, it's unable to save.

I think the button is grayed when the instant save/load is not supported by the game/engine, so it's maybe a scummvm thing : https://goo.gl/3BYrcJ

i have problem when i load game everything work but when i start scumm againt list is empty. its posible to save list of games?

I've been playing (and enjoying) Flight of the Amazon Queen (Talkie/Dos/English) and have encountered a couple of bugs whilst playing. If I load a saved game and then if I press the Playstation Home Button and then hit the 'continue' icon I get a message appear similar to the following when i press the O button......

Console is ready
Debugger started, type 'exit' to return to the game.
Type 'help' to see a little list of commands and variables.
ERROR: String too long+ Length = 32, maxLength = 12!

The message doesn't appear straight away after pressing O. For example if it says LOOK AT MONKEY I press the O button which highlights the text. Then Joe walks to the monkey and soon as he reaches the monkey is when the message box pops up. The same happens if I press the sleep/power button then press it again and continue a game then press the O button.

ScummVM will also crash if I load Flight of the Amazon Queen without using a saved game. By pressing the sleep (power) button and then continuing the game a message like this appears....

Other than this ScummVM has performed brilliantly and games look gorgeous on a Vita screen with a filter applied.

You can save on humongous game with the internal save/load system by pressing with the keyboard F*insert number* something i don't know if there is a virtual keyboard ingame (i don't remember), but test by pressing all butons on the keyboard

EDIT : this is "s" button on the virtual keyboard with select and pres "l" to load

Sugestion- I would like to see the ability to store savedata in ux0/user/00/savedata/(scummvm)/ So that its saves are backed up by CMA
