I see, then I guess you need to still trying since the installer is a little bit unstable.
I think it works like this, on my first try before 11.1 it took over 40+ installs. But 2nd time, it did around the same thing, until i noticed after it corrupted, and it forces you to choose a new mii. When i went to install like past 40+time the 2nd time, i left the game corrupted, did not choose a mii, when i installed for a final time, it worked. i think if you left it corrupted and reinstalling, it will work.
Also a minor problem.
When i boot my homebrew menu, with steelhax, it just goes to the root of the sd card, I had to select boot.3dsx to go to the actual homebrewmenu, anyone have this issue?

I wish I had read that a couple hours earlier. Eventually I gave up, then remembered I have a sky3ds card that I never use and installed freakyhax.

This shouldn't be a problem with steelhax but the payload. Maybe smea changed something but I don't get that issue. I'm also adding your post to the op

I added a picture, of what happens when i go to steelhax, i have to choose the boot.3dsx file to go to actual home menu. Another minor problem, IF i dont hold down B when going into steelhax, it will crash the game, WHEN I HOLD it down it boots to the sd card.

The came crashing means that the payload is missing or corrupt in the steelhax install. That is why you have to have the payload on the sd card.

Try erasing the save game and re-installing.

The B button causes the homebrew menu to go up a folder. If you let go of the button as soon as the payload starts everything should be fine. Also yeah if the game actually crashed the payload file in the savegame seems corrupt. Try copying the otherapp payload for your fw into the game's savegame as payload.bin

Despite initially being a bitch to install, this really is a fantastic entrypoint once setup. It launches HBL effortlessly (holding B isn't actually necessary) and faster than anything else I have personally tried other than the hblauncher loader CIA.

I think it helps to switch off straight after it says that and try the installer again, rather than trying to make a new save. My brother's DS was playing up when I tried this on his and this method worked for me.
This, it worked for me after failing like 10 times thanks :)

thats how i found out it. install, it comes up as corrupted, and i just leave and reinstall it without making anew save,MII.
what i think, is everytime you make a new mii, it makes a new save, maybe thats why its buggy

Yeah it does lol. I haven't really thought about it this way.
i found out after 60+ installs, lol, and decided to play around with it.
to the original point, i believe when it is making a new mii, it will wipe out the current save"corrupted" data, which is why the installer wont work for the first 10+ tries, because it acts like steelhax is never installed.

Also a little wierd thing with steelhax, the payload other app bin. was supposed to be steelhax_payload.bin, it worked like this when insert into the root of sd, for 11.0. But when i updated it it dint work, i kept crashing, so i went on youtube video, and a guy suggested to rename it as Steelhax_payload, without the .bin, and it worked.
This was the same problem with freakyhax back in june. just curious if anyone had these problems(These are resolved issues on my part).
