Hey guys, I'm compiling a new zip with all of the badges here, and using
this site as a list of all available badges. I've got all the badges sorted, but I still need to finish off any last dupliactes, finish my list of missing badges, and make the names of the files consistent. That's where you guys come in. I've been naming a few sets according to this format:
[Set Abbreviation] - [Name of Badge] [(Optional Subtitle)]
A few examples of this:
- ACC1 - Filbert.png
- ACC1 - Isabelle (Egyptian Outfit).png
- SMB - Coin.png
- SMB - Luigi Swimming.png
The [Name of Badge]s are all translated from the Japanese badge names. I started naming the badges like this so that they would be more organized when injected with GYTB, since GYTB exports images with names in this format:
[Series] badge.[Badge ID (hex)]
Examples of this include:
- Mega Man badge.2774.png
- Kirby badge.2774.png
- Splatoon badge.b1bc.png
- Nikki & Friends badge.4650.png
While this works to keep the badges organized for the most part, it mixes together I don't know the IDs for each of the ~4,750 badges I have, and the IDs seem to be inconsistent between each person's dump. (Save for the Pokémon badges, which almost always have the Pokémon's national PokéDex numer * 100,000 as their ID) My question is, while I'm making the file names consistent, should I keep naming the badges personally or should I use the format GYTB uses?
