EDIT: Going online with games with a public header, you get banned. That's only for GW/Sky3DS users to worry though, CFW + CIA it's already patched essentially

As far as i conserned, it does work. The games doesn't load eshop to download updates, cause is done from home menu. start game that needs update and press y to update.

Well i wouldn't know if they would be on 11.0.0-33 but browserhax and menu hax both work so you still have homebrew, and region free loading.

If your not using a9lh, you need emunand, to use fbi.
You can't use eshop on 9.2 that is what emunand is for, it should be updated to latest fiirmware to access eshop.
CFW can allow homebrew, eshop, and cart backup games to be installed as well as play out of region. (Games not localized for your country) and few other interesting things.

You need a program to inject FBI installer into health and saftey app to use in emunand.
This is covered in the a9lh installation guide.

Section II - Injecting FBI

1. Get into the Homebrew Launcher on SysNAND through the entrypoint of your choice
2. Open Decrypt9 (This can sometimes take a few tries), then go to "EmuNAND Options", then "Miscellaneous...", then select the "Health & Safety Dump" option to dump Health & Safety tohs.app (you can use Up and Down / Left and Right to change the name)
3. Press Select to eject your SD card, then put it in your computer
4. Extract Universal Inject Generator, then copy both hs.app from your SD card and FBI.ciafrom the FBI zip to the input folder
5. Double click go.bat (or execute go.sh with Terminal on Linux, or double clickMac_inject_launcher.app on Mac)
6. Copy FBI_inject_with_banner.app to the root of your SD card and reinsert your SD card into your 3DS
7. Press B on Decrypt9, then go to "EmuNAND Options", then "Miscellaneous...", and select the "Health & Safety Inject" option
8. Press down once to select FBI_inject_with_banner.app, then press A and confirm to inject
9. Go to the main menu, then press Start to reboot

You use emunand9 to make back ups.
Hourglass9 is the NOOB Equivlant to both decrypt9 and emunand9 so to prevent dumb mistakes since it has only simple options. Nothing too advance and enough for "Curiosty killing cats"


If you are using homebrew, There is ftp programs you can use for it. Also the Microsd card manager works as LAN if i am not mistaken. Other than wireless capiable, no there is no simpler way.


Browserhax work on all firmware from 9.0.0 to 11.0.0


Remember that using chain payloading with holding buttons on boot is how those programs are loaded. Is not necessary to use homebrew loader to open them anymore. Just remember what button does what, check the assigned function in the Luma/payload folder on the sd card.

How would you use it or install it? Use it for having custom firmware all the time instead of having to load it from homebrew loader and emunand. How would you install it? With the guided process here.

I dunno, how bad is it? Did you remember to enable L2+ Clock option in luma?

It's not that bad (just a few scenes when the camera rotates around the Pokemon if you're not attacking), and yes, I have enabled the L2+clock option

EDIT: Only happens in 3D mode btw

DsiWare downgrades one part to 10.4 [the part that blocks system downgrades] - and yes browserhax should work after the downgrade.

so that means that after downgrading via the DSiWare process, I don't need any of the *hax games to launch Homebrew to downgrade to 9.2 right?

By file manager do you mean CIA installer?. If so there is NASA but FBI has way more features. They both rely on the same exploits to run and as such have the same limitations.

No, for cia install i use fbi. I literally mean a file manager, for just looking around my sd card and stuff so i can move around/delete/rename/copy/paste files. I'd use fbi, but for some reason it fails to delete some cia files and sometimes even if it deletes the files, a 4kb leftover of the cia remains. And i have to open the back cover and reinsert the sd or use a ftp server on the pc everytime to do that crap.

I have a N3DSXL with 11.0.0.033. Using BASICSploit for homebrew. I have no CFW.

Is there anyway to extract the savefiles of games using newer encryption? I'm talking about eshop releases. Like FF Explorers and Hyrule Warriors Legends, for example. Everytime I try to extract the saves, my 3DS crashes.

If anyone can help, I'd highly appreciate it. Thank you.

I remember seeing something about Pokebank interfering with cia's and homebrew. I have RxTools on an O3DS. If I open Pokebank does it actually damage some of the homebrew I have? :c
