If you catch it "in time" I guess it would be fine, but given that there were hours between the initial commit and the amends, and it clearly caused confusion on this thread, I wouldn't consider that "in time."
well yea thats understandable. Not sure why it needs to be a big deal. I told people to update. I just didnt wanna make a whole new release too.

Because you're highly popular! Ppl either going to hate or praise you. When you're on top

You're a target. You are under the microscope for being epic. You're famous in the cfw scene and people have a certain idealology about you...so you must conform! Otherwise you're stupid, obviously lol

I typically avoid criticizing any dev's work, and I'm not criticizing ReiNAND here. It's a fantastic piece of software. However, when you're writing open source software using Git, there are some practices that should be adhered to, especially for large projects. Otherwise, you'll cause confusion.

I never intended my comments on commit history to be anything personal, or even directed to the software. I just thought that I would point out a few problems in his git habits (trust me, we all have problems with those) that led to some confusion earlier on in the thread.

The thing is, only one person ITT was confused and this is the first time i've done an ammend after an hour of pushing, yet people used that to give grief.

So I've been out of the scene for a long time and all i see is drama

I have an old version of reinand ( no idea which version it is) but my emunand is at the latest one and everything works #1

So what is this reboot patch people are talking about and should I be worried about anything if I keep using reinand?

Using a n3ds NA

thanks

Coming to pretty much ask the same question. I'm on 3.2 and 10.7 emunand. Saw that updating to 11.0 was crashing at 90% leading to some sort of franenfirmware on emunand? Was letting the dust settle to verify that 11.0 was worked out.

Can we safely update to 11.0 on emunand with the latest version of Rei?

So what's next on the reinand feature list? Everything piracy-wise has been concoured....what other ideas do you have in mind? I like the idea of using my 3ds outside the box but it's still just a 3ds lol

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
