I no that's why it's a grey area. If someone steals their work how are they supposed to stop them? I don't know about you guys but clone cards come and go with tin months since anyone who uses them bricks, you may not like gateways strategy since it's so dirty but apparently it's working

That's bs, gateway cards are illegal. They shouldn't even have the right to be distributed. Clone or not.
They are ruining perfectly working devices. As @astronautlevel said, any dev who puts brick code into a CFW or any modding device or software is a complete asshole

I don't know nothing lol, I'm not "defending" gateway it's ridiculous to think people can't grasp why gateway does what they do. They're not a moral company they don't care about the people who buy the clones or their 3ds I'm just trying to make people see it from a diffrent point of view. Plus no one has buy gateway anymore it's useless just the people who have it can enjoy it without ever fearing of bricking, unlike some people seem to believe. Buy a genuine card and you will not brick

Edit: are they assholes? Yes should you buy their card if you don't own one? No but these are the facts

Bricking the end user, who more often than not had no idea that what they were purchasing was a clone, is absolutely disgusting. Any developer who did that in other fields would be taken to court and sued for all their worth, but when gateway's sole business is stealing it's hard to sue them like that.

Bricking the end user, who more often than not had no idea that what they were purchasing was a clone, is absolutely disgusting. Any developer who did that in other fields would be taken to court and sued for all their worth, but when gateway's sole business is stealing it's hard to sue them like that.

I agree I just don't understand the ignorance of some people who can't accept that you will never brick if using the legit card. I agree cfw is better I myself switched to Luma and don't plan on going back even with gateway a9lh support. But the hating on gateway users because of what gateway does also has to stop

I have the card since the just 1 game per card support, I think that cfw + gateway are good combination, I hope this week come with the update.

I don't hate gateway users for anything and honestly don't care if you use a gateway. I don't like when people say that gateway is better than FOSS CFW, and I hate when people defend gateway for bricking people's devices, and I despise the gateway devs.

Lol yes but if some other company stole windows rebranded it and sold it and Microsoft tells you not to use this modified version of Windows or it will 100% break your computer..yet you use it anyways because you don't follow and don't know what Microsoft says then who's fault is it? Microsoft? That's all I'm saying. What gateway did is wrong but the clone cards are just as much to blame, they're all shady pirate companies with no morals.
