We are almost there!

The next big updates with 10.3 and A9hax support, as well as a nice surprise, are just around the corner.

We apologize for the delay to fulfill our announcement, but as always we deliver. Please understand weare still supporting our V1 hardware from a few years ago, which in the case of this major update has proven quite challenging.
We are very proud that users who bought their device 3 years ago still enjoy full support, although it has caused some delay.
And we will continue to do so by making sure all Gateway users, old and new, are receiving more than they expected for their money worth.

10.3 support and A9Hax will be released separately in the coming days to save from further delays. We are starting to expand our testing panel to more Alpha testers on various consoles types, regions, firmware etc. so it shouldn’t be long. But please for safety reason do not use any new Gateway firmware until we have confirmed test results and released the official update.

Looks like GW will be getting A9LH support. This should make the dying breed of Gateway users happy. Not sure what the 10.3 support is. Probably a downgrader of sorts. Hopefully SOONer rather than later.

Finally happy to see Gateway realize that A9LH is the future and they seem ready to deliver their offering. Should make cheating easier. No more menuhax (just deleted it) to load emuNAND for cheats. This coupled with arm9select and AuReiNand/Rei (take your pick) should cover most of what any Gateway user could fathom. Reliable and quick GW loading (should quell the Sky3DS+ vs Gateway comparisons). This and CFW in tandem should be the last time I really mess with my 3DS setup until the next big feature add to A9LH. For all the Gateway users who remained patient. Looks like we will finally be rewarded.

You gotta give the Gateway team credit though, other guys would've long disappeared into the sunset seeing as how CFWs that are free can do pretty much the same things as their product except running .3ds files

All this work by Gateway and still no mention of ever supporting RedNAND despite there being no reason to not support it as it does not cut into their profits to have you running RedNAND over GW EmuNAND.

What I would be even more afraid of with Gateway writing A9LH stuff is that we may get stuck with having to run a custom Gateway version of A9LH where they embed brick code to brick when running other CFWs.

Not the type of support I am hoping for. Anyway I think Gateway realize they are losing appeal as outside of .3ds rom loading the cart is a glorified cheat device. Good to see for those that made the investment that it still is receiving support and is still viable despite developements in CFW (No long cia installs and cheat support).

Gateway also does not need to adhere to the 300 game limit either as each 3DS rom acts as a cart and not an installed game. this is a benefit of their method of playing games.

Downgrader would be the best bet as 9.2 can run Gateway and it can then be used to downgrade to 2.1 to get the OTP for A9LH, which Gateway will work with also.

@driverdis, well said, although I probably won't test that feature (your ref to no 300 game limit). Cia installs though as anyone who has had a mSD/SD corrupt on them can attest is a major pro in you happen to own gateway.

Even if they will release a downgrader, I don't guess they will use SysUpdater.
Maybe their own downgrader, like the dg pack for 9.2 to 4.5.
But the question is, how they will launch it?
In 9.2-, they used Spider, but from 9.3 to 10.3?
A HB downgrader?

What? What does that even mean? I've used a9lh since the day the OTP stuff was made public, and I still use my GW as well.

I found the best fix for this was to install the NAND install version of DevMenu on that iso site. It installs to NAND so it survives system formats, system updates, and corrupt SD Cards.
Before this, I used Gateway to install the FBI CIA using the 3DS version of FBI or BigBlueMenu.

It even survived the downgrade trip to 2.1
