Hacking [HELP] Got 2DS on 6.0.0-12u

I recently bought a 2DS for my friend.
How do I update this to 9.2? I want to set up menuhax for him as its the easiest.
Is there a tutorial that shows how to update it?
Also, do I just use the o3DS update packs, or is there specific 2DS ones?

Install rxTools nightly and run it through the spider exploit. Then update with sysupdater.cia from rxTools Pasta Mode.

Yes, use the o3DS pack from the "[MEGA] [CIA/BIN] MSET 4.X & 6.X backups, Browser backups, Update packs (All Regions)" thread on that ISO site. Double check that you have the right region/model version before installing as using the wrong version will cause a brick.

Use the "Download ZIP" option.
Read the readme on the page, it contains easy install instructions. You can ignore the part about self hosting the exploit and use the URL https://dukesrg.github.io/?rxTools/sys/code.bin to launch the exploit.

I've tried to launch HMB over 150+ tims (157 in activity log)
And, sliderhax always shows a yellow screen then restarts the 2DS.
I DO have the starter kit on the SD card.
I guess I am returning this 2ds.

I've tried to launch HMB over 150+ tims (157 in activity log)

I DO have the starter kit on the SD card.
I guess I am returning this 2ds.

You can't use sliderhax below 9.0 because that's the minimum firmware for *hax. Run rxTools using the link I mentioned.

If you have a DS flashcart you can also install 6.x mset and boot through the DS Profile exploit.

Needless to say you need a CIA manager on your sysNAND in order to install sysupdater.cia. Use FBI injection for that. All these steps can be done with rxTools alone, no HBL needed.

It's really not that difficult. The hardest part is FBI injection.

1. Buy a DS flashcart
2. Run rxinstaller.nds on DS flashcart
3. Use 414 (DSi profile exploit) to boot rxTools
Done.

Or
1. Put rxinstaller.bin on SD root
2. Visit http://soar.im/rx/?rxinstaller.bin with 3DS Browser
3. Use 414 to boot rxTools
Done.
