FF7 remake being released as a "Multi part series"
This may come as a blow to fans if this means the whole story of VII won't be available immediately. The announcement has yet to be properly clarifled.

Yeah, it definitely had different sections. The older final fantasy games are told like epics in that way, all leading up to the final conclusion. If they do it like this, awesome. I'm perfectly okay with that. Gives the story room to breathe, rather than having to rush things.Wasn't the original Final Fantasy VII cut up into parts because the game was too big? So it's likely to be segmented the same way the first one was, right?
What I was talking about is just for the original Final Fantasy 7 that was recently released for the PS4. It's good, you should pick it up (I think it's still about 10 bucks)I am not as hyped anymore.. I still want this badly, but just not so hyped. I just don't want to end up disappointed in 2 years..
Haha yeah my reply was related to your last paragraph which was a response to me. I just forgot to remove the first paragraph. But da data is 2 hueg!If I wanted to play a "multi-part" ff7, I would plug in my PS1 and play through all the discs that way! I am not ok with paying more for unfinished game because they gave some bullshit excuse like "multi-part!"

That being said, I was wondering if it's worth getting that 1080p FFVII that was just released. Is it really worth it? Or should I just stick to replaying it on the psp (which I am planning to do soon.. Again)
But you know millions of people will buy literally anything they release with the FFVII name. Our voices will be drowned out in the fanboy yell.
Pffffft!Cross-dressing is already confirmed to be in the game. I doubt they'd take out the Honey Bee Inn scenes either.
Yeah but you didn't have to buy each part separately, it was right there in the same package and it cost the same as other ps1 games.Wasn't the original Final Fantasy VII cut up into parts because the game was too big? So it's likely to be segmented the same way the first one was, right?
Ugh. You do realize that page you linked is nothing but buzzfeed garbage, right? It's even segregated into three pages to collect the most possible clicks. It's nothing but click-bait. Just reading this gives me cancer from the sheer amount of ignorance and I feel disgusted for having clicked it.Guys, guys, I just remembered something...
If Squeenix's gonna remake the full game, do you think they'll still leave those "fantastic" moments as Cloud cross-dressing to infiltrate a brothel or the "rape" scene that can happen inside?
Cid was always crude, but he is kindhearted. His attitude and foul language are an effect of him losing his dream of spaceflight, as he remains angry over missing out on his dream. However, he sacrificed it deliberately to save Shera. Cid holds great resolve in what good his knowledge will bring to the world. Cid does not always mean his insults in a negative way: he refers to Cloud and his allies as "numbskulls" for opposing Shinra Electric Power Company, but admits he likes the idea. He becomes more responsible and caring during the events of Mideel, when he's appointed as a temporary leader. Cid eventually finds a new perspective towards the party's goal to save the Planet, something that he didn't care much for in the beginning, ruminating: "This planet is a little kid. A little kid sick and trembling in the middle of this huge universe. Someone's gotta protect it. Ya follow me? That someone is us!"
Every time to devote brain power toward analyzing a click-bait article, the terrorists win.Ugh. You do realize that page you linked is nothing but buzzfeed garbage, right? - AVALANCHE is a rebel group against the Shinra corporation who is KILLING THE PLANET by consuming vital resources to the planet's well-being. The reactor explosion was done to coerce the protagonists by one of the executives. Funny how the "journalist" failed to mention that.
- Red XIII was acting as if he was cooperating with Hojo so both he and Aerith weren't harmed.
- Cid yells at everyone violently. Another funny thing the "journalist" failed to mention. His dream was to go to space but he couldn't because from what I remember, one of the parts in the engine was broken and when Shera went to fix it, continuing with the lift off would've killed her. He saved her life in exchange for never accomplishing his dream.
- The protagonists cannot save the people imprisoned because implying that the items such as gold needle (or soft) and whatnot can help Red XIII's father from petrification is meta-gaming. There is no evidence that they weren't already used anyway. Not sure what the "journalist" expected people to do about a person encased in materia, either.
- The Barret gold saucer scene was just a comedy scene available to the player. Cloud and Barret fight constantly throughout the game like stubborn goats so the developer thought it was funny to make a scene like that.
- I'm pretty sure the Honeybee Manor scene was just another comedy scene put in by the developer. And goddamn is it glorious. Nothing actually happens to Cloud. All they do is sit in the hot tub, which in Japan isn't very strange considering communal bathrooms are a thing.
Sadly, it must be done when users go around sourcing it like it's valid information.Every time to devote brain power toward analyzing a click-bait article, the terrorists win.
I don't care if the game is too big, I grew up on a PS1, switching out disks to finish my games. But selling me part one for game only to make me wait for part 2 and sell that shit to me again is not acceptable! But da data is 2 hueg!
But seriously, if a shitty company like konami can make mgs4 work on limited space, then no reason for it to be that big. Are they including hours of 4k video on the disc or something?
I may be in the minority but redrawn backgrounds and higher quality models would have sufficed for me.
The game also came with all 3 CDs and you paid one price for it all. Plus my friend told me (I may be wrong) but the final boss fight took up one CD. I don't think they'd split it up in the same way. I mean, unless people are cool with paying $60 for the last boss fight.Wasn't the original Final Fantasy VII cut up into parts because the game was too big? So it's likely to be segmented the same way the first one was, right?

Oooh you know what would be great? In addition to paying for this game thrice, we need some DLC and microtransactions. It's the future I tell you!
Final fantasy 13 and up has dlcsThe pre-rendered videos took up the bulk of the space on the disc. Without those, the game would have fit on one disc I believe.
Do any of the recent final fantasy games have DLC? I haven't played one in a while and am curious what the current state of affairs is with that.
The final disc consists of more than the last boss fight, but it's less than a third of the length of the other discs. The game also came with all 3 CDs and you paid one price for it all. Thanks for the clarification. I'll tell my friend he's a dirty stinking liar. The final disc consists of more than the last boss fight, but it's less than a third of the length of the other discs.
the original was sold in one part. that's the key distinction.Wasn't the original Final Fantasy VII cut up into parts because the game was too big? So it's likely to be segmented the same way the first one was, right?
