Lol @ 1.7 SDK.

Onion_Knight has said it was from the SDK leak back in May last year which was the 1.7 SDK. Thanks for providing more info though, I've managed to find the new SDK now :).

The .rxps have also their packaged folder: you need the dev WiiU Common Key to decrypt them (but the .rpx is already available without needing this step).
There is also a cool "WiiUSaveDataExtractor.exe" (.nsb, .nsi, .bin files supported):

"WiiUSaveDataExtractor.exe" is ran on the PC, meaning we'd have to dump our NAND (?) in order to extract the save file out of it.
If they are giving developers a method of save data extracting then I would certainly hope they also gave them an eMMC dumping method, otherwise it would be completely useless

I just realized how useful and well-timed Loadiine was, holy crap

Slightly off topic but can you export unity3d games and run them?

its been a long time since i checked on this
Not unless you have Nintnedo's plugin for developers and a dev unit. (unless someone can figure out a way to decompile exported Wii U Unity projects to see if they can boot on a 5.3.2 retail unit with Loadiine)

For people looking for the latest sdk available online, look at the file structure shown in this post, more importantly, the folder name.
It is called "Cafe_SDK-2.12.13" and as most stuff discussed over here. It has probably been leaked on pastebin, like most classified software ends up being.

I believe that with this common knowledge that anyone could have guessed this much looking at this thread or using common sense could be able to find said SDK online.

But I, at no point, told anyone where to find said warez software, i just gave a few ideas on where it might be and what it would be called... ;)

At everyone with the SDK:
The quickstart guide mentions a "cafe.bat". Is it named differently or isn't it included in that special version?

I've got it laying on my PC for a little while now but never really bothered since I couldn't really load the RPXs anyway.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
