2 posts above yours, is the solution to having mset on 9.2, allowing you to boot into rxtools without internet

What's the point of firmware.bin? I was going to add it to the documentation but it seems that I can boot my 9.8 emuNAND with just slot0x25KeyX.bin...
It covers the encrypted FIRMs of NATIVE,TWL,AGB.
After data installation (when those get decypted and patched)
The patched files go to /rxTools/data folder.
So it isn't needed after the installation..
Note: if you update your RxTools you would likely to get it through CDN.

I have a 8.1J 3DS what should I do after I put code.bin in sdcard
- Put this file on the sdcard root : http://filetrip.net/dl?DCvELA3Unv

- Go to this url for 9.X (with downgraded mset) : http://dukesrg.no-ip.org/3ds/rop?LoadCode.dat

- Or this url for 4.X : http://dukesrg.no-ip.org/3ds/rop?LoadCode4.dat

Only works with 4.X and 9.X

Update to 9.2 by following this thread : https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...om-4-1-8-1-to-9-2-0-20-with-pasta-cfw.389187/

This is for pastaCFW but this works with the new rxTools too if you run it in devmode :

- Go to "DEVMODE" into "ADVANCED OPTIONS" in the rxTools menu.
I can use beta2 with web but not NINJA
so I need new rxtools.3dsx and rxtools.smdh

Same probleme with ninjhax, only on 9.X...

I have another solution for you if you want, download the 9.8 update as .cia with 3DNUS 1.9 like this :

485593Sanstitre1.jpg

Copy the update folder to your SDcard, launch rxTools in emunand and install all cias in the folder with devMenu or BigBluMenu by pressing L+R+A and reboot !

Can i use FBI instead of DM or BBM?

Right so i am using and emunand created using rxtools 2.6. I switched it with the 3.0b3 dat file (above). Mset did not work. Nor did using the code.bin to recreate it (get kicked to normal menu and when i go to the nds profile, it does not load). I am on 4.5. Anyone know what i'm doing wrong? :(

Edit: attempting to launch off launch.rxtools.net does not seem to work either, is this normal?

Looks great. But it's Windows 8 Metro...You have to have a pretty masochist kind of personality to actually enjoy using that theme. :P
I believe Microsoft refers to that as "Modern", not Metro. (I don't think it's been called Metro officially since the 8 betas but I still call it that on occasion.)

The best part is the BSOD sad face.
Are you using Segoe UI as the font for that? (I did a super unsafe hack to swap out my system font so I can't tell if that is Segoe UI. If it isn't, maybe it's OpenSans? Either way it looks good.)

I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU USE SYSUPDATER instead of BBM or DevMenu when installing update CIA files. I also do not suggest them on sysNAND either..... I have seen a lot of horror stories of people bricking their 3DS.

@AlbertoSONIC , can you add 3D support?

We have access to both TOP_RIGHT and TOP_LEFT framebuffers from arm9, but I don't think we can use things like the 3D Slider... Let me see

Check the attachment ;)

@AlbertoSONIC I know that Pasta's emunand dumper is currently not working, but can you confirm rxTools (with pasta)-current is same? Also, is it true that all nand dumps size = emunand dump size?

According to the GBAtemp hacking FAQ for 3DS and 3DSXL/LL models:

Toshiba NAND: 1931264 sectors, 988.807.168 bytes = 943 MB
Samsung NAND: 1953792 sectors, 1.000.341.504 bytes = 954 MB

My hardmod nand dump for my Samsung nand is 1000341504 bytes, or 954 MB.
My emunand dump (using rxTools) for my Samsung nand is 988807168 bytes...

It looks like rxTools is currently not detecting the nand manufacturer and using the Toshiba parameters when dumping for all 3DS models.
NAND dumper code is working BUT it doesn't check nand manufacturer. It's surely a thing we'll have to work on. ;)

Hi, could somebody please test this build of rxtools, I added 2 patches for arm11, one to allow out of region modules, and one to patch nim(could be usefull after n3ds support got added),but I 'm not able to test the cardrige support by myself, because I dont own a out of region module.
Out of region games work, tested with sky3ds and USA and JPN games on EUR 3ds.
Out of region DLC doesn't seem to, something else needs to be patched maybe?

edit: @AlbertoSONIC have you looked at the nand dumper code in Decrypt9?

Hardmod/GW dumps all the eMMC data content. rxTools dumps only the actual data occupied by partitions, the trailing trash is not dumped.

Yes, we need other patches for dlcs and manuals, but maybe somebody will find them(like I said in my free multi patcher thread, I have not much knowlege in reverse engeniering, so I can't promise something, but I will try it :) ).

Would be interessting if somebody with 4.x or lower could test my build, to check if the nim patching is breaking something.

I have another version that have a agb bios option in setting and it's funny ! But the theme don't work with it and the 3.0b2 doesn't have the agb option and I don't want to loose it ^^

Edit: I don't have the configuration to build it myself now...
So, what's the deal with the bios? Like, where to place the gba bios?
And latest github compiled has the agb bios option in settings (just compiled it myself), therefor i ask, as it seems you already messed with it ;)
Thx
