Then i feel so sorry for him.
* Flash other's nand dump would surely cause a brick, cause NAND is encrypted..
* If the chip just runs out of its write cycle (lifespan) and you're able to dump the chip then you might replace the chip and flash the dump from original.
- This is cause when NAND wore out, You could read the chip but not write to it.
- Edit: cause pirates offen uses emuNAND which directs IO to SD card, its NAND wears much more slightly than it should with sysNAND. Longer Lifespan.
* If he has emuNAND SD for this console.. You could ask for how to modify the emuNAND to make it flashable for console.
- Not always practical. emuNandTool could extract/inject the partition, which is with slight differences from the hardware dumps.
* Only if you've have the fat16 xorpad of the nand of the console, you could decrypt it. Or else, sorry no way to edit it.
- There was a guy asking for using other's dump and xorpad and his, to decrypt and remake a nand dump, to downgrade his. Not Safe At All. and, Not Experimented.
- However this would merely happen, cause those having xorpads could easily pirating games, and first of many tutorials, get the GW nand dump - most of them keep it.
Have you asked guys on #3dsdev about this? If so, did they offer you any other plans?
