Don't make excuses for multimillion dollar company, if you can't keep to your release dates then there's no point in even setting one. That being said, 2015 was way too steep of a release date for such a big game.

both had promising idea's and beta's (Sonic 06) But were utterly ruined by a rushed release date.

I can list bad things that were rushed too, that doesn't prove anything. I can also list games that were rushed that still exceeded expectation, like Fallout New Vegas.

I agree that rushed games can be good, but Nintendo can't really afford to have a game like this fail at this point, so they had to delay it to make sure it would live up to the quality expected of it. It seems like they've chosen the lesser of two evils in a lose-lose situation, to me

I agree that Nintendo have dug themselves into a hole, but when you're a giant company like Nintendo, it shouldn't get to the point where you have a reputation for not delivering either on time or what was promised. "Please Understand" isn't even funny anymore, it's just a sad example now.

This game is not big. If you want to know what a big game is, look at Bethesda games. The reason for the delay is because Nintendo is greedy and likes its profit margins high, they want to sell for top dollars games with little financial investment, in order to grow their cash stash more.

I know now the average Nintendo brainwashed fanboy/salaried apologist will tell me about capitalism and companies for profit and all that jazz, but as consumers, their profit margins are not our concern, only the products we get with our hard-earned cash...

Did you just throw a bunch of sentences together thinking they'd form a coherent idea?

I am sorry if you lack the capacity to understand, but it is not my problem.

All i said, was that the game is not big in the sense that it needs big resources and time. Bethesda games are actually bigger in scope. Zelda games are much smaller. Maybe this version will have bigger stages, but still, it won't have the amount of quests, items, characters etc of a Bethesda game...

So, in relation to the above, a game company much bigger than Bethesda like Nintendo, should be able to tackle a game like Zelda in a quicker manner by just investing a little more resources, but they won't do that since it will cut into their profit margins. They want to invest as little resources as possible and sell for as much as possible. For example look at the recent mini-games they released like Mario vs Donkey Kong and the Kirby game...

If after this explanation, you still think i just threw a bunch of sentences together, then maybe you need your iq examined...

Nope. Bethesda only work on one (big) game a time , Nintendo have to work and release multiple games in the same year , especially considering the economical situation of the Wii U.

Let's say this'll be a cross-platform release and it'll likely be, so hopefully for the Wii U version it fully supports the Wii U Pro Controller than make the GamePad a necessity. The GamePad with the high capacity battery still only lasts about 8hrs which yeah, it is better than the crappy 2-3hrs it originally came with but for really long games the WUPC is the controller to go for.

It would be a dick move of Nintendo to cancel the Wii U release of this Zelda game because customers have been waiting so long and many of them bought the darn box to play it!

Only 29 days away from the Japanese version being released. I'm not a fan of Xenoblade but I'll consider it because the Wii U's just been gathering dust.
well maybe this will change your mind

In a similar fashion to the original, the game plays as an open world role-playing video game, with an emphasis on exploration.[3] Traveling can take place on foot, or in large humanoid robots, approximately four times the height of the average playable character,[4] called "Dolls", that the player may opt to control.[5] The Dolls have the ability to fly, traverse water, and transform into vehicles such as motorcycles[6] or tanks.[7] Aerial battles will also take place in the game.[8]
During the game, the player seeks out and recovers the stasis pods that were ejected from the White Whale's hull during its emergency landing, which land in various places across Mira. In order to search for places with stasis pods, the player must expand the "Frontier Net" information system by installing data probes at places called “Frontier Net Spots”. By establishing data probes at various points on Mira, the Net obtains information on the related areas and expands its scope.
The game's battle system will play similarly to the battle system found in the original game, with some improvements.[9] The past game's quest log will also return in an improved form.[10] The Wii U GamePad will be used as an "information terminal" for data the player gathers about native organisms, a map, a way to warp to previously-visited locations, and for Off TV Play.[11][12]

you have god damned transformers! :yayu:

I think I'll give Xenoblade X a chance simply due to the mechs, I've tried various games of mechs and none really satisfied me like watching an anime series and seeing the robots beating the crap out of each other.

For now I'll still keep my Splatoon pre-order but I'm feeling sceptical about this one even for £24.89 (with some points I had left).

2015 is a pretty crappy year for Wii U regardless of Xenoblade X.
