Gaming Despite the lack of 3rd Party Support it still has some pretty good ones

It's not just about my opinion but saying that the games are bad, that's just not true nor does their year matter.

This thread makes one thing stand out very clear and that's exactly how bad the game library on the Wii U is once we take Nintendo games out of the equation. And not every Nintendo game tops charts! They make a handful of great games worth owning a Wii U for (if you like Nintendo games), but that doesn't mean Nintendo games don't have their shortcomings.

Nothing new.

I do agree though, some pretty lack luster titles. Not to say they all are. Most wanted was fun in some respect. Blacklist disappointed me. Was a long time SC fan, stopped at Conviction. The cabela franchise isn't one to use as an example imo. Not a big following honestly. One piece looks nice, I haven't tried it yet. Nor child of light.

lol third party games on the Wii U... The only reason the Wii U has a couple of good ports better than its competition is because of the couple of month gap between the Wii U and the PS4/XBOX one reveal/release. The wii U will never ever be anywhere near the console for third party titles unless they're exclusives. Anyone formulating a list is either trolling or clutching at straws.

Third party titles: PC >> PS4 > XBOX One >> Wii U


Wii U's strength is purely in its exclusives.

I believe framerate is far more important than resolution and it can ruin an otherwise excellent game. E.g. I loved Shadow of the Colossus HD on PS3 whereas I hated the original on PS2.

You're totally right. I think Framerate is far more important than graphics/resolution too.

People really undervalue it when chasing the best graphics can offer. I can't believe some people would rather have 1080p/30fps and under over 720p/60fps. Some games feel way too sluggish at 30.

The Cabela series tends to be disregarded because of the animal abuse and to be an "on-rail shooter", both of which I found to be tons of fun and with a Wii Zapper it's even better. Hunting ducks feels like the modernised version of Duck Hunt.

I'm playing AC3 as of now and it's quite a pretty awesome game, but shame how I didn't play it on 360 when it first came out as it was definitely worth it.

I'll have to pick up Unity on PS4 when I get one and by then they should have patched everything correctly.

i play my wiiu nearly every day mainly all vwii emulators but i'm still using it
and lots of god stuff coming this year.
