Hi !. Boy.you´re a lucky guy !.
Your uncle gave you very a special box. The original XBOX !.Somehow these machines seems to have sadly been forgotten,or/and abandoned by the true gamers. Can´t help to wonder, from a retrospective point of view, was´nt one decade, the 00´s,long enough for remembering and embracing more than just one "Super console" from Microsoft ?.Well, from the day that the 360 "came to town"(by then,as a half finished product only though..),not much of devotion for "old mother X" was left in the air anymore.. (Maybe the subjects Atari Jaguar and Sega Dreamcast respectively, from that same generation, filled up the max level for the future nostalgia needs, more than well ?!!..) . Either way,"The black box" was,and is,AN AWESOME CONSOLE !!. With its Pentium III cpu, iconic and timeless interface, and up to 720P resolution (but yet, stepping down to 420i works great too !. You can plug it in on a pretty old(("fat")) CRT screen with just plain RCA/composite cables,RGB boosted or not. -OR,fix a better cable, and hook it up on some of the latest OLED´S out there !. It´s a very adaptable piece of hardware) ,IT ROCKS !. The hand controller was/is the first of its arch typical kind, and the "next giant leap forward",after the previous of such origin, that from the Playstation One(and further in THAT family). Some of "The black box" controller´s third part editions, were in some cases, close to as good as the original though. And you could choose between the affordable wired one´s,or the pricey wireless units as well. Sure,it´s the actual design concept in general that was/are groundbreaking, and was of course, followed up directly on the 360 as well(+ a million chinese knockoffs or so,ever since ..) .-But that rubber reinforced, grip ergonomical, solid sense, provided by the original unit,is and remains "The shining star" though !. Since "The black box"´goin´ down to history as "The unwanted child",i guess your uncle wasn´t that EMTREMELY generous after all.. (-I can only tell for its current status for it in my country, but here in Sweden you don´t need to pay more than about 70 US $/485 SKR for a FINE specimen ((less than the price for a carton box of Marlboro)). A worse one would probably ends up as separate spare parts or/and,in geeks experimental workshops though) .

ABOUT YOUR REQUEST FOR FIGHTING GAMES:
Well my favorite game on this baby is "Midtown madness 3"(a "XBOX only" title,by the way),so really, violence entertainment isn´t my bag of tea at all,í´m afraid (It´s rather "the other way around" actually, where i try to flee from this reality of hatred, wars, suffering, lies, greed and death, into "other worlds" such as that one in "Mario kart",etc.)
-But with all these avaiable emulators, wouldn´t SNK/Neo Geo games be a perfect choice for you ?!. (as far as i know, kickings, hittings,"aah !"s,and "Oh,no !"s,is the only thing that ALL those games are about, right ?..) Some good emulator for Capcom´s Arcade games is another thought. But a PS 1 Emulator would open up that console´s EXTREMELY big game library, where martial arts is ONE obvious genre !. -And,OF COURSE,there are fighting games for native "Black box" too,but i´m just not the right guy to tell you about it (i´ve seen a cover for a "Rocky" game on XBOX though..) .
Finally,A WARNING about "The black box".
There is a button type of battery inside it,and sooner or later,it WILL,guaranteed !,starts to leak !. That will not just "perhaps make a minor damage" on the console. -It may KILL IT !. The longer the leaking has been going on,the lesser chance to save the console. There is a video on Youtube about this, and the guy who shows a "typical case",explains that the battery IS NOT just a "snap on,snap off version".Instead,it is attached to the board with solderings and stuff.-To get rid of it,you have to cut at the right points, and then easy put it off. After that, you need to do YOUR OWN SOLDERING,to compensate on the boards circuits, where the removed component was fitted in,on the scheme. After that, you need to clean up in the best possible manner, where the potential leakage from the damaging fluids has occured(=treat the affected components in the best possible ways). And,also, handle the possible impact it might have had on the board´s own surface(circuits, connection points etc.). The guy explain everything as good as he can,but in a worst case scenario..it´s just over..
