I know that. That is why i am looking forward to mario kart 8, super smash bros 4, bayonetta 2, scribblenauts and lots more. The wii u probably has the best line up for 2014. Also i do not know why everyone keeps ranting on about these third party games. It's not like anyone buys them anyways. I just see the in shops collecting dust. I think i need to get into all the nintendo exclusives so i can get the most out of it. Thanks for helping me choose a wii u everyone. :D

If you're interested in playing 2-4 new games each year, sure, suit yourself with first-party. The bulk of content on any console consists of third-party titles though, keep that in mind. If all you're interested in is a mouthful of Nintendo first-party then the question was sort of pointless - obviously the Wii U would be the system tailored for you. :P

Cool thanks :D Yep, i will stick with the 2-4 games, and im sure it will end up with like 10-15, just look at how many games are here now and its only been out for about a year. When im not playing games ill have fun looking at miiverse and using the integrated video chat. But i will also be picking up a ps4 when i see it in stock because i want KH3 and ff15, also fifa and racing games. Also some exclusives

It looks like you already decided to buy a WiiU.
I think it's nice to have 2 consoles, having a WiiU for Nintendo games and a PS4 for everything else seems the perfect deal.

First i would like to say that i dont care about the money difference. And that i would pay without trouble for the consoles.

I want to know which one has the most fun games,

That's a matter of opinion. For me it's WiiU right now, sound like it might be for you as well based on what else you've said.

good graphics

WiiU's not going to keep up graphically with PS4/Xbone. It does do HD now, though, and it's not nearly the difference that Wii was from PS3/360. And for the type of games like Mario, Zelda, etc it's not like you need something nearly as powerful for something that's supposed to be realistic.

and features.

WiiU is a game system, not an entertainment center. It's got a web browser and stuff, but you want to use the internet, use a computer, even the best console browser is incredibly annoying for more than a quick use. If you want a bunch of features like BluRay movies, WiiU isn't what you're after.

I am not really into shooters, so if there is something else i can play. I like mario style games though.
Which one should i get?

WiiU.

PS4/Xbox One lineups vs. Wii U lineup

The difference is all in the third parties. Nintendo will produce some fine games for the Wii U, but without any real third party presence, the releases are going to be sparse. This is exactly what happened with the Wii (Wii owners missed out on titles ranging from GTA IV to Mass Effect to The Walking Dead to Bioshock to Spec Ops: The Line and beyond), and it seems the Wii U is heading down that same path.

Sure, the Wii U may have more titles now, but how about in another year? Two? Five? Eight?

Owning the Wii U along with another gaming platform (PS4/Xbox One/PC/etc.) would make the most sense, but even then, I'd personally wait until the price is lower.

Also i do not know why everyone keeps ranting on about these third party games. It's not like anyone buys them anyways. I just see the in shops collecting dust.

I was going to wrap this in a spoiler, but didn't feel like it would do justice in replying to your comment. Oh, and there's currently a total of 8 games for the PS4 at any and all local game retailers here. These are the current released and upcoming releases for the Wii U. Not to mention, Nintendo has 8 first party titles in one year. That's the same amount of COD games there were in the entire last gen. There's still many that are not included in this list.

You don't buy a console because it has better specs or even a bigger game library. You buy a console based on if the games it has appeals to you. So, even if PS4/XB1 will have far larger libraries in the future, if those games don't appeal to you, then what's the point in getting either one of those consoles? If the Wii U has what you want and you want it, then by all means, go get it.

Wii U > PS4 -/- Xbone...

So yeah. Get the Wii U because it has:
  • an awesome library of games
  • the gamepad is super useful! (best use for me was in Deus Ex - Directors cut)
  • overall performance
  • size of console
  • price of games
  • free online gaming
  • Mii plaza (which is actually great - when you add me: b4rtj4h - send a PM with your name...)
Then between PS4 and Xbone

PS4:
  • Great first party games
  • Smaller and slimmer design
  • makes less noise
  • cheap online community (costs 45 dollars a year)
  • Free games every month!!
  • Gaikai feature to be announced
  • awesome controller with touch
  • camera is optional
Xbone :
  • Great first party games
  • spies on you
  • listens to everything you say

XBONE has a windowz 8 like interface might as well go for a pc or a ps4.
Ps4 might as well be a console that has has more power but still it feels like a ps3 with more hardware.
Wii u maybe underpowered by 2 other consoles but it brings new features like off tv gameplay,
if sales increase then even more and let there be a big third party support base then the wii u wont be a laughing stalk.
If games were able to come out for last gen then whats the difference with coming to the wii u. If you like the wii u then dont get it. But want it than great.

I own over 20 different consoles including all the last gen consoles. I also own each of the above mention games...whether or not you were missing out is a matter of opinion, apparently.

It's a matter of opinion, of course... but I'm right.

The advantage of wide third party support is variety. Even if you don't like any of the games I listed (and that's fine, by the way, I was just listing a few examples) there are literally hundreds of other titles in a wide array of genres to select from. When a console lacks third party support, as Nintendo consoles have tended to do for a while now, you lose that variety. For the most part, you just have Nintendo games, and while most are at least fine, you're options are extremely limited if you want anything else.

As for the spoilered section...
1) Yes, when selling a console's library, you should definitely include classics like The Smurfs 2, Spin the Bottle, Angry Birds, Coaster Crazy Deluxe, and so on. I know you needed to pad out the list, but the shovelware isn't exactly helping.
2) Showing that the Wii U has more games than the PS4 doesn't mean much when I already said the Wii U has more games than the PS4. If the Wii U, a console that's been out for more than a year at this point, didn't have more games than a console that just launched last month, that'd be horrible.
3) You seemed to miss the whole "Sure, the Wii U may have more titles now, but how about in another year? Two? Five? Eight?" part of my comment, which is kind of sad since you quoted it directly. To reiterate, I am talking about the long term. To say the Wii U's sales have been anemic would be an understatement; the thing just managed to break 4 million units, and is far, far behind Nintendo's projected goal of 9 million by March. The Wii U will be lucky to make Gamecube numbers, and that's going to seriously decrease the amount of developers willing to work on the machine. The PS4 and Xbox One, meanwhile, seem to have taken all the momentum. They're still smashing sales records, and all the attention seems to be on them. Now, it's possible that may change, but right now it seems clear where the developer support will be focused.

There's a lot of things I don't like about the Wii U (the controller, Nintendo's online system, the controller, the controller, etc.), but I don't hate it. I could totally understand if someone wanted the system for the Nintendo games. To make it your primary platform, though, would be a pretty big mistake. If you want games... well, you should invest in a PC, but if computers scare you, then you're better off with the PS4/Xbox One.

I agree with you on everything, except that last bold part.
Most of people, like me, choose consoles over PC for three simple reasons: praticality, cost and long-term support.

Playing a console is really simple, it's just plug and play, using a console on your living room is easy, it looks great and works fine,
but having a PC on your living room isn't so nice, you would need to have a custom built PC specially for this, like a Steambox,
but these machines aren't very popular, and won't be as pratical as a console

A gaming PC would cost at least the double of consoles, with time, your PC will be outdated and you'll need to upgrade it in order to keep playing new titles.
With a console, you'll have support for a couple of years, PS2 had games released for it over 10 years, something you'd never get in a PC without upgrading it.

Well i guess it's all opinions. Because would there point in me getting a ps4 if i only like some of their third party games (only 2). So i guess i only like nintendo games (stupid for me to ask the question). So i do not know why everyone is hassling. I do not like cod, bf, shooter games or most of third party stuff. I like good quality first party games. So in the end its opinion and not specifically the games and how many will be released. That is all.

As of right now like if you went out and brought a console today.... the WiiU would be the best choice. If you own a 360 or PS3 you likely own 1/2 to 3/4 of the launch line up for the X1 or PS4. Nintendo will always produce solid exclusive games compared to the other companies that mainly produce multi platform games. Even Kingdom Heart 3 is coming to both when it used to be a Sony exclusive for the main series.

I would personally get a wii-u and play the titles you have missed since launch and the upcoming games for 2014 Mario kart etc.
By christmas 2014 you might consider getting a xbox one or ps4, But at least you have given the system A chance, I Think the Wii-u is a fine system but you really need to own it first before making that decision.
The ps4 and xbox one will continue to improve With their output of games by christmas 2014 and I dont think waiting till then would be a unwise move

It's a matter of opinion, of course... but I'm right.

Then I guess we'll just agree to disagree. Having an opinion doesn't make you right. Nor does it for me. I didn't like a few of those games you mentioned. Then again, there's games out of every systems library I don't like. For instance, I can't stand some of Nintendo's most famous games like Pokemon. I don't like point and click games on any system. And I especially hate turn based RPG's on any system. But there are plenty of people who love them. Just as the same as there are plenty of people who like Angry Birds, Smurfs 2, and Coaster Crazy Deluxe...which apparently doesn't appeal to your opinion. I didn't make the game list, I just posted it. They're games, but I guess we shouldn't include them because you don't like them and have deemed that they are a bane to the existence of games. Like I had previously mentioned, there were more than plenty of games missing from that list as it's about 6 months or so old and doesn't cover the first 7-8 months or releases and newly announced releases.

Some of your speculations about 3rd party support lie in the fault of 3rd party developers. Sure some publishers, such as Silver Studios, didn't release on the Wii U for good reasons seeing as they barely were able to get the game released at all. But others, such as EA, were more malicious in their intent of non-support. I'm perfect fine not playing EA games on the Wii, or any system for that matter. The only EA game I enjoy is Madden Football, which will be missing it's first year on a Nintendo console since it's inception and meteoric rise on the coattails of Nintendo consoles. More ironic, is that this is the 25th anniversary of the game. And this is how they repay them, by giving them the Dreamcast treatment. And their excuse is that they previous released a couple of horrible ports that did poorly at launch. Anyways, EA has lost 3 different deserving big lawsuits in the last year and have many more to face, those facts speak for themselves.

As far as your speculation of 2,4,6,8 games being released(Oh I go it), that's just a Michael Pachter like doomsday forcast for the Wii U. You have no idea what they're going to release, but I would hardly doubt that it's going to be that low of a number especially when we know what they've already got working for the future and that, as I had mentioned, they released 8 first party titles in the first year alone.

There's things I don't like about the Wii U and Nintendo and general as well, but none of them are what you mentioned. Then again, there's things I'm sure that people, including myself, don't like about all systems. I just don't sit here and harp on them and campaign against them and lurk in waiting for somebody to disagree or to say something in contrast to my favorite system so I can lay the guantlet with troll comments when they do. Oh well, such is the life at GBAtemp I suppose. But there's also things people love There's also things people love about the Wii U too such as free online gaming, no known history of banning users, no known history of YLOD's, RROD's, failed disk trays, and the newest BLOD issue. Not to mention the fact that most games on the Wii U don't need updates because their games weren't rushed and full of bugs. For some reason, this generation more than ever, that seems to seems to be a mistake in the eyes of other consoles fanboys. Sony and Microsoft must love all the free PR they get from these sites.

I have my own custom built i7 gaming rig that I put together. It's specs are on par, if not exceeding, with the new gen consoles. I play that more than any of my other consoles. It's just as simple as plugging in the Xbox 360 controller and playing. The Wii U is second most played. I don't discriminate against any of the other consoles. I own them all. I don't limit my experiences, nor do I attempt to limit those of others. I think Sony make wonderful machines, I just despise their corporate actions such as the way they backed SOPA, their removal of otherOS, the way they had Graf Chokolo's house raided for reverse engineering his PS3 which had nothing to do with piracy, the lawsuits against their own customers, their constantly changing TOS, the ban waves, etc, etc. Most of which are things people don't know about and don't take into consideration when they get in bed with Sony.

I can't make as bold a statement such as you, claiming that my opinion is right, but seeing as I think it is more reasonable and less biased, I think it's more acceptable.
