WHAT.
That looks awesome. I wonder if it has those framerate problems like the one that yamihoshi has.

And it looks like it just screws on, like a powerpak+? That doesn't seem likely considering the other one requires soldering or something like that.

edit: hurr durr, could have just watched the youtube vid. Framerate looks normal!

WTF
Serious reaction, that looks awesome. Looks like it kinda steams video. But is that a mobile phone connection thingy on the attachment?

My screens are scratched... too much money thrown. :(

Be nice to play Ocarina of Time Resident Evil: Revelations/Kid Icarus: Uprising on bigger screens... I wonder if the output supports 3D output as well. I mean, I assume it naturally should, so long as you have an appropriate 3D output device.

It does require some soldering. I see on the product page I linked mentioning soldering. If I'm reading it right on one of the postings you send them a preliminary 3DS to install it onto?

It seems they're not actually giving it out yet if I'm reading it right.

発送は2012年10月(予定)より先着順に行います。 = Our product ships out in October 2012 (ETA) ; we're selling on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Also the price is ~ $506.00 USD. (39,800 Yen)

So expensive x_x
The technology will be out there soon, without a doubt we will see some competition and lower prices someday. :3

I don't doubt the fact that there will be clones and alternatives, but I don't necessarily think that there will be (considerably, at least) lower prices - this is a fairly niche thing. I can't think of anyone I know who has a 3DS who would want this, or even anyone who doesn't have a 3DS and would want this if they did have one. Heck, I have a 3DS but I would, admittedly, have no use for this thing.

How does it output? micro-HDMI, or microUSB to MHL?

microUSB.

I actually did find a single use for it. I have these USB Corsair headphones, so I could get better audio quality. (3DS doesn't have a USB port, curse you Nintendo!)
If they release it in open source I may want to try upscaling for better graphic quality, but at a $500 price point I don't think I'd be in a rush to get it, if at all.
