I loved BOTW but this trailer didn't really do much for me. It looks more like DLC than a new mainline entry to me. I guess I expected more after six years.

Perhaps they're teasing us by holding back the true bulk of the game, maybe we're looking at a MGS2 scenario. Either way the trailer didn't do them any favours. I'm sure it will turn out good however.

Seems a bit like it'll be what Majora's Mask was to Ocarina of Time. Same core game with some additional systems added on. I'm guessing it'll change less than MM did though. Either way, I'm looking forward to it!

Hopefully they add proper DUNGEONS back in, this time, along with removing limited stamina and equipment fragility, and adding (optional, toggleable; perhaps in Settings/Options) map markers.

Otherwise it'll be just as boring and tedious and bad as BotW.
I don't mind the weapons breaking, but a durability boost would definitely be a welcomed change. Like, and extra 1/3rd durability buff, nothing crazy. I definitely want proper dungeons with their own bosses. We had map markers in BotW, did you just not use them?

Should've been called BOTW 2..
It doesn't look bad by any means, in fact it looks better in some areas (from what they've shown).. it's just that it's more of the same (BOTW), which impact its appeal/ uniqueness imo. Remember when each LoZ game was standalone and unique (apart from maybe OT/MM & OA/OS)?

It looks more like a prequel TBH, which I really hope isn't the case.

I'm hoping for a repeat of what happened with MM being leaps and bounds over OoT

Having the engine and mechanics all fleshed out means they've had 6 years or so to focus on gameplay for TOTK

And it sounds like we heard Ganon's voice at the end there :V

My hype is over the moon

Disclaimer: would buy any zelda game no matter what

I would argue OoT and MM are more different than TP and SS tbh

The aesthetics (and even gameplay) of TP & SS are very different from each other (OT & MM too, apart from the gameplay), in comparison to BOTW & TOTK here..

i still cannot get away with a feeling that this game definitely could not take 6 years to make I am hoping for many surprises. I hope those flying machines wont be the main mechanic of the game. Maybe same gamers used to play with the botw for such a long time till they find these new way to control the game however for a simple game it could be kinda anoying

I have a feeling this game will get a higher review score than 7 on gbatemp tho :P (BOTW)

The games look similar - for me the big difference will be if they finally added more cities and like meaningful NPC interactions - the world of BOTW felt really dead

Recycled graphics, same enemy characters, looks like an expansion pack.

The flip is up with these vehicles, going a bit too far now. Guessing no dungeons?
i dont know jsut because some youtubers liked to make these in their speedruns does not meant they have to be everywhere i hope

I’m sure it will have a good turn out, but I don’t think it will be a good game. Obviously I can’t judge based solely on the trailer; however, I’m not impressed with what was shown. Even more, I’m concerned with some of the new mechanics introduced… Not too sure how to feel about the Lego-esque building…

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii

At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

    not really

It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.

RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced

    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
