Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, cuz uTorrent may be installing cryptocurrency miners all up in your PC. At some recent point in time, uTorrent users have been experiencing odd slowdowns and high CPU usage reports on their systems only to find that they were coming from a cryptocurrency miner installed on their system, called Epic Scale.

After some users went snooping, they discovered that Epic Scale was being installed with a uTorrent install/update, but whether it was a ploy from uTorrent or one of the many ad offers uTorrent has stuffed in their installers is unknown at this time. The situation isn't entirely clear, either, as the reports of this miner being installed are infrequent to a point that some users must be triggering something with their uTorrent updates/installers that is causing the silent install of the miner.

BitTorrent Inc has made a small response to this claim, and originally didn't believe it at all after moderators deliberately deleted the first forum thread made on uTorrent's site regarding the issue.

It's strongly recommended any uTorrent user checks their PC for any malware and miners that could or couldn't have been installed.

In the mean time, any uTorrent users should check out other (safer) torrent programs, such as qBittorent, Tixati, or Transmission. You can also find an older version of uTorrent, such as 2.2.1, which is considered the last "great" update from uTorrent.

Harmonix seriously hopes you haven't thrown away those gigantic guitar and drum peripherals, because RockBand is making its return to current gen consoles this year.

Harmonix has stated that all DLC from every previous iteration of RockBand that you may have purchased in the past, will transfer over to RockBand 4, with thousands of songs and track sets available for purchase, as well as plenty of new content, new current gen grade peripherals (with the old ones seemingly being grandfathered into the process as well), as well as new leaps and bounds for the franchise.

Other aims for the franchise include more freedom in the way you play, and overall changes and buffs to the original engine.

So how do you feel about the return of the arthritis inducing party fad of the early 2010's? Have you held onto any of your peripherals, and do you plan on picking them back up to play some sweet nothings to your now probably college graduate sweetheart? Let us know what you think!

Everyone's familiar with Maxis, the studio behind most Sim titles such as SimCity or The Sims. Well, as of today, after 28 years on the gaming market, Maxis is no more. While the brand itself lives on, the studio is to be consolidated with other EA development studios. This is what an EA representative had to say:
An understandable decision after the SimCity fiasco and the underwhelming launch of The Sims 4, but nevertheless, it's always sad to see industry titans such as Maxis go.
