No just as Link needs to stay male. Want a female lead character then make a game of Impa or Zelda. What's next ? A gay black Link and a fat Zelda just to make it socially justifiably ?

I don't see Nintendo doing this. But I agree that they should do a spinoff with Impa or Zelda as the main character.

Part of the magic in Zelda games is that you can project yourself into the mute main character. Any dialogue would ruin that.

A key reason I'd also rather voice acting stay away from Zelda, even if Link remains mute. I project my own character into the NPCs too.
