There are some Zelda homebrews for NES and SNES you can play using an emulator.

NES
Legend of Zelda: Fall of the moon
Legend of Zelda: Gannon's Revenge
Legend of Zelda: outlands
Legend of Zelda: The moblin's tale

SNES
Legend of Zelda: parallel worlds
Legend of Zelda III: omega

BassAceGold was also working on a DS Zelda homebrew called The Legend of Zelda: The Shards of Light. He has stopped working on it but I believe he did complete enough of a demo for people to play and be sad that he never finished it.

Googled, can't find them. Was linked to derok.net, but the links give me 404. Can you p.m. me? Maybe e-mail them to me?
I have "Parallel Worlds". That's tough stuff...

Apart from gloweyjoey explicitly stating he was posting homebrew games in his post, it's hard to believe you could actually have mistaken any of the titles for official zelda games if you actually read the post.

I think he means that they are NOT homebrew, but ROM Hacks.
They require you to have the ROM and then patch it (which can be a pain for at least Parallel Worlds since there seems to be 3~4 diff versions of the ROM floating around).

BAG's Shards of Light is a homebrew remake of the original LoZ game, and something I've -VERY- much been searching for: a Link to the Past (or better) graphics 'remake' of the original LoZ.

Also, if anyone comes across or has SePH's Parallel Worlds patch, I'd be interested in obtaining it.
I believe I had it (as a pre-patched ROM, shhhh..), but over two and a half harddrive failures (yay bad sectors!) I think I've lost it.

Apparently 1.1 (official site | Romhacking.net) is the last release, as it seems SePH never released his solo work (though I cannot say for sure since http://seeeeph.wordpress.com/ was deleted).
Instead he started work on a sequel called Parallel Universes
