Lets just hope this is some sort of bug, and not Nintendo or Google blocking Youtube via the browser in hopes of forcing users to use the app. Viewing Youtube from the browser is FAR SUPERIOR than that Youtube app... I've not yet been able to confirm this; however, I will check as soon as I'm home from work.

_popup I think.

To watch YouTube videos on the browser, select a video, go the URL and add “_popup” after the word “watch.” This launches the video you selected in its own window, which allows you to use the Wii U GamePad’s 6.2-inch touchscreen for viewing.

If this is fixed, excellent... I'd heard it was deliberate on Youtubes part because the Wii U browser bypassed their adverts. Maybe Google/Youtube aren't quite the money-grubbing f**kwits I thought they were :)

Huh? But it works again without Nintendo updating anything. That means Google are the ones who fixed it. :P

The playback is fixed along the adverts (those were not showing up before, so i think it's related) Glad to not be forced using the unconvenient youtube app :-)

Oh yes. I do hope they fix up the Youtube app eventually though.

seems to work for me, its just some videos wont load, its strange because on 1st day it seemed every video would load, its like every new console nintendo releases with a browser something works then suddenly its taken away.

3ds (ability to upload pics to facebook via browser) tho i think that came back eventually.
wii u (taken away ability to view some youtube videos because they made an app)

why not give 3ds an youtube app also.
