I think I'm spoiled by the XBLA version but this version doesn't feel half as good and having a zoomed in section of the map and a full map on the other screen makes level navigation a bit less fluid.

I miss having online multiplayer and friend leaderboards too.

The community feature is a nice addition though.

awesome game, not as good as the pc version. doesn't feel as smooth for some reason. maybe its the tacky menus compared to the flash. Just beat episode 12 =) cool game pretty far, some levels in the earlier episodes should have been put into the later ones. the difficulty varies way to much within the levels imo.
I agree on the difficulty, Im at episode 39... and Im stuck. The last levels are like really hard and everything before it was like random. There was one level that took me forever to do and I think that was int eh 20s. It felt like it was a 30s one... I don't like the music either it repeats and repeats. Dying isn't fun anymore. When you suicide in the PC one, sometimes you don't explode and just die so i miss the ragdoll physics...

To be honest, it looks like something that should have been on the NES or C64. It's way too basic and plain for my tastes. I don't know, it just seems boring and......just blah to me.

Just my opinion. I hold no animosity towards anyone who likes it.

I couldn't agree more.

Im at about level 17 now I think, im really enjoying it.. great game to pick up and play withing having to really concentrate on it.

I'm confused... How come when you complete the tutorial, it says you unlocked the red ninja, but you really unlock him after beating the first two levels? Which one is it?

I wish more games like this and Bangai-o Spirits were released. Small games, small size, small sprites, great gameplay.

its a great game, very challenging (last stages at least). but overall it feels unfinished.

When connecting, you may get repeated playback (sounds like having the same song played multiple times at the same time), and you have to type your username and password each time you wish to connect! Settings arent saved all the time, specially the blood and music ones.

But overall its a fun game that's only 8mb without trimming.

I'm currently at something like episode 30, I like the game but I think they could have done better. Like the death animations suck, you die more easily when you fall and the music is too repetive.
The level editor is little weird, maybe I'm not just used to it yet. But when you try to place a switch to the ground, it looks like it's not on the ground, it looks like it's little higher. But overall the game is really nice, but I think that I will get bored to it after a while because the original flash version is better at some parts (death animations is one of them). I always thought that the death is important in N. I have unlocked some level packs, all colors up to pink (no gold), victory animations and bonus music. I'm gonna try the multiplayer later, I hope it's awesome.

Well, i'm enjoying this game. This is MY type of casual game. Its a nice pickup and play. Bunches to unlock (albeit, they are really cheesy and don't add a bunch to the single player mode). Haven't played multiplayer yet (hopefully tonight). Haven't done much with the level editor yet either.

But so far, this has been WAY too easy. I pickup and play a few episodes at a time. I get a little frustrated with some things, but i over come them after a play or two. Theres not much to "learn." But thats good as well... which is why i see it as a casual game.

Physics are a bit wonky at times though. I prefer the Flash version, and the 360 version just below that... but for portabilities sake, i'm enjoying this.

I'll be interested to see how the user levels (read: wang looking stages) are when i can hop on and check those out!

I do give this thumbs up though. Its everything i was hoping for with it (didn't have my hopes OVERLY high, but i was still looking forward to it, and i wasn't disappointed).

7.5/10 from me.

Just wondering, how do I add normal black floor in editor?
There is already floor in there. I like the idea that you can change the color of the floor and background, its cool.

EDIT: Btw, is anyone else having problems with the bounce blocks? I cant do the walljump with the bounce blocks, the player always falls :/ Episode 29, first level.

If it's like the flash version, it gets much much harder later on.

One thing, though... I miss the saved-and-shared replays the flash version had. On the computer, it would save your best replay for every level... but that's not the best part. It would also upload your best replay to a server somewhere. You could then open up the online high score list in the game, see the top five runs worldwide on every single level, and play them back to see a completely awesome player beat a level in ten seconds while being amazing.

Of course, it's obvious that something like that wouldn't work on the DS (not enough storage space on a cart...) But it's still a shame that it had to be removed.

All this game needs is more multiplayer. what i mean is that it should be ds downloadable and can have up to 4 people play at once and it could use AR DS Cheats.

I really like this game. Plays almost identical to the flash game, with a few tweaks. DS Download would be welcome, but I'm fine without it. I always play on Pure mode, because that's the way I like N.
