Hey there, I've received a Phat PS4 for free with the backstory that the HDMI port is faulty and will need to be desoldered and replaced. They've also included a replacement HDMI port, which means I'm almost ready to go. 
A Google search led me to this article which covers carrying out the repair and I've got every item on the tools list except for the hot air rework station but these can be easily found on eBay UK for around £40 GBP. Before I potentially get started, my main questions are: is the information in this article regarding the repair accurate and considering that I've snagged the PS4 for free, is it worth buying the hot air station to carry out the work? I imagine that I would have use for it with other repairs in the future.
